Under the Banner of Heaven Season 1 Episode 6, While searching on the farm, Pyre came across a shirt in a closet, with two papers in his pocket. Pick up the papers he went through. In the yellow letter, Pyre sees a list of words. The detective eventually learned that the shirt and papers belonged to Ron.
The yellow note “Sam’s list” was mentioned during the investigation. The list includes the names of people who were considered obstacles to God’s way. As Pyre confirms Ron’s list, he realizes that Lafferty’s eldest son played a key role in the massacre.

Under the Banner of Heaven Season 1 Episode 5, ‘One Mighty and Strong’ begins with Pyre and Bill discovering that the blood found on Sam’s clothes was not Brenda’s or Erica’s but the squirrel’s. During the interrogation, Sam talks about the School of the Prophets. Although he avoids explaining what it is, Robin directs Pyre and Bill to Bernard Brady, another member of the group.
Investigators also spoke to the Lows, informing them that Dan and Ron had been expelled from the LDS Church. According to Low, Dan wanted to marry his adopted daughter in order to practice polygamy, which paved the way for her long-term relationship. Ron’s case was followed, especially after he threatened Bishop Low with interfering in his family’s affairs.
Bill and Pyre arrived at Brady’s house with a search warrant. Brady and his wife informed investigators that Ron often attacked his wife, Dianna. During a search of the house, the officer found a letter authorized by Brady.
Pyre opens the same and comes across a list of names of people, who are considered worthy of “eternal consequences.” Brady agrees to assist the investigator by returning to inform his wife of the letter. He tells them about an old house called a “farm,” which Ron and his brothers used. Pyre and Bill went to the house to find any evidence linking Ron with the murder.
