In the Offer Season 1 Episode 7, Al Ruddy had just finished fighting and struggling every day to make The Godfather. Charlie had insulted him, and Ruddy had decided to leave. Bettye tries to convince him, but he has already decided. Bettye knew that without Ruddy, she would lose his job.

The Offer Season 1 Episode 6: Recap
In The Offer Season 1 Episode 6, Bob Evans talks about the Great Escape. An escape that allows the average person to feel happy about his life. He tells Charlie that, contrary to the beliefs of the board people, Paramount was not just about running a business; it was to repair the soul of a broken nation and give hope to the people even when nothing seems right.
It was not just about making a profit but about giving a two-hour break to all the people who were assigned for life. Films that give them a reason to smile, have fun, and for a few hours forget about the cruel truths of the world.
Charlie, though a businessman, was strongly influenced by the cinema world. He knew the magic of cinema and the power it brought. He knew that the thing that made him smile and make him feel good was the power he had to think about. Bettye leaves and meets Joseph Colombo and tells him that Ruddy has been fired. Colombo stops shooting, and a stunned Francis Coppola calls for Charlie to put Ruddy back on the board.
Charlie puts Ruddy back on the board and tells him that he will give him one last chance, but in reality, he knows he is giving Paramount another chance to clear his damaged reputation and regain his lost glory. As Ruddy returns to the set, the shooting begins, and the magic unfolds.
Ruddy met Frank Sinatra through Joe Colombo, and the legendary singer thanked him for changing The Godfather script and accepting their wishes. Joseph Colombo decides to fight Gallo. He had given him the opportunity to be reconciled but apparently, he did not want that, and Colombo was not left with much choice.
