Savage Beauty Season 1: Synopsis
“Savage Beauty” has followed Bhengu Beauty, one of the largest family beauty companies in the country, and has been the subject of a scanner for over-editing images of her models and promoting false positives. Mr. Don Bhengu, the head of the company, wanted to change people’s perceptions of them. The audience voted for Zinhle Manzini as the face of Bhengu Beauty.
It was the first time the dress had been given to a stranger, previously owned by actors and supermodels. As Mandu walked down the aisle, there was a round of applause, and the back projector showed off her pictures. What shocked the Bhengu family was that the pictures were so well arranged, that they humiliated Zinhle’s skin, showing her more beautiful than her real skin color.
There was widespread chaos. The media was present at the scene, and Don Bhengu knew that this time they would not stop. Their reputation changed when they tried hard to solve past problems. Linda and Phila, two older siblings, were asked how they could be more lenient with themselves. The company responsible for the incident was blamed for the tragedy, although they could not explain how it happened.
The Bhengu family in the face was one of the strongest, richest, and most influential families in the country. They hide their inefficiency. There were many ugly facts, hidden among the cracks, which were constantly stretching. Don Bhengu had two wives, Grace and Thando Bhengu. Grace was Don’s first wife, and she considered herself the second in the kingdom. She was very protective and often very insecure.
Grace never wanted Don to marry Thando, but the things she wanted were never considered. She was treated with contempt by Don, but she did not raise his voice against him. It was her need to be known as Don’s wife. It was who she was, and she was proud of it and often ignored the prejudices she had to face in order to be with her. She was willing to compromise on everything but never considered leaving the Bhengu family. Thando was not like Grace. She wanted to escape the marriage somehow, but Don did not give him a choice. She did not have an emotional relationship with Don Bhengu and was often despised by Grace.
Don, on the other hand, did what he was asked to do and received the best possible treatment for others. He ignored the needs of his former wife, often ignoring her own ideas and opinions in a very cruel way. He had many stories and did not apologize for them. It was a true patriarchal arrangement of blue, with the oligarch ruling over the lives of each family member.
Don Bhengu was visiting a girl named Ruby, whom he was dating out of wedlock. She was housed in Don’s penthouse, which served as a playground for his illegal activities. He was sharing a moment close to him when he had a heart attack. He was rushed to a hospital, where his family also arrived. The siblings were different from their parents. They were sensible in their approach and shared a peaceful relationship with each other. Although Phila and Ndu were Grace’s real children, Linda was born to another woman, which is why she was often teased by Grace whenever she got the chance.
While in the hospital, Grace discovered that Don was actually with a woman in his special home when he had a heart attack. She went to meet the girl and told her how her life would be ruined if she married Don. She told him she would be locked up as divorce was not an option for the Bhengu family. Ruby panicked and decided to end her relationship. Don knew that Ruby could not even imagine leaving him without being threatened. He knew that Grace was responsible for all of this.
Although Zinhle lived with the Bhengu family and had become the face of the product, she still had hidden motives that no one knew about. Zinhle had burns on her face that she used to hide with makeup. She tried to kill Don while he was lying in a hospital bed unconscious. She went to meet her family, and we came to know that she wanted to overthrow the Bhengu empire and make it a ruin.
What she was looking for was unknown, but she had more to do with it than meets the eye. Don wanted to choose his successor as a sudden heart attack had moved him. He wanted Phila or Linda to take the dress. He was willing to give both of them a chance to show their worth. Phila was extremely confident that he would be the next CEO, but Linda knew that her father saw her as a more professional and hardworking sister than her stepmother. Mandu wanted to play for her own benefit.
She asserted that her confession had been obtained through torture and that her confession had been obtained through torture. Grace wanted her son to be the next CEO. She did not miss any opportunity to influence Don and to make him understand how Phila was a suitable candidate for the position. On the day of the interview, Don found a bag of cocaine on Phila’s desk. Although Phila used drugs, he avoided them at work. Zinhle had planted it to make Linda CEO, and she got what she wanted.
Don decided that Linda would be the next CEO, but Grace was once again able to influence him. Don wanted to show the two contestants to the other side of Bhengu Beauty and see how well they took this revelation. They used to make and pack banned toothpaste products in the country. The product was called Yellowvate, and Don had plans to increase its distribution across the African continent.
Phila is upset and upset after learning about this illegal business. His conscience did not allow him to do that. Linda is eventually replaced by Don Bhengu, but Mandu has other plans. Don organized a party to make a big announcement, and a video clip was played in front of everyone, in which it was revealed that Linda had a secret relationship with Don’s second wife, Thando. Zinhle had sent her friend Vee to a party knowing that Thando and Linda would meet. While they shared a moment, Vee took the record.
The news reached the media and spread like wildfire. Linda believed Phila was the conspirator as he wanted to be CEO. Thando was happy as Don finally agreed to divorce her, and asked for the two ladies to come out. Phila has taken on the responsibilities of CEO.
Savage Beauty Season 1: Ending Explained: What Happened At The End?
Ndu had decided to leave his house as he had different ideas from his father. He did not agree to risk the lives of millions just to make a profit. He was shocked to learn the kind of things his father could do. It changed his attitude toward his father. But Don never felt remorse for his actions.
He did not even try to stop her young son from leaving him. Zinhle knew that Thando had not had a miscarriage, but Grace had given her a pill to make sure she did not have a baby. Grace couldn’t stop Don from having stories, but she was able to stop him from having children with other women. When Thando told Zinhle about her tragic incident, she recorded the whole thing in private.
Zinhle deliberately told Don all the lies, because she knew he was interested in her. She violated her moral standards because she believed that this would give him an opportunity to take revenge and gain his approval. Grace tried to kill her because she saw that Mandu was dating her husband. She knew that Don might marry her as he wanted to have more children. But when Don heard the recording and Grace was exposed, she was forced out of the house. Phila also went with her.
Linda only found out about this new thing when Phila brought her mother to apologize to Thando. For a while, Linda felt that Mandu was the one holding the video during the party, where she was talking to Thando. She contacted Vee again, and through her, got to know Bonga. Grace told Phila that when the company was started, Don had promised her that they would be partners in the business, but he backed off and registered only under his name. Grace then demanded her dignity and began devising a plan to acquire full ownership of Bhengu Beauty.
Don had decided to marry Mandu, and she was running out of things to stop him. Bonga has decided to contact a detective named Selekane, who is committed to Don Bhengu. He told him everything, Don believed that Bonga wanted to kill him because he wanted to avenge Kolobe’s death. He went to Bonga’s house and tried to buy him.
But instead, Bonga became angry with him the appearance and told him that he was one of the children who had been tested for the cream, although he did not say anything about Zinhle’s involvement. They got into an argument, and Don shot him. Zinhle arrived at the scene but could not rescue her brother. Linda scolded her father for Mandu, but he did not listen to her. Later that night, Mandu gave Don drugs and recorded his confession. She was about to leave when Don followed him.
As the vision she hit him, Don fell to the ground. Zinhle believed he had killed him, put him in a car pole, and decided to leave the area. Suddenly, no one was there, Edu arrived at the scene and saw her startled and gasping for breath. Don, who was inside the boot of the car, opened his eyes, and the screen went black.
The first season of “Savage Beauty” ended in Cliffhanger, where Mandu had recorded a confession, which had not been disclosed. Phila and Grace were unaware of the incidents and were busy plotting to overthrow the government. Zinhle believed she had killed Don, but he was fine.
