‘The Quest’ is a legendary competition series revived by runners Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri. It involves eight young people embarking on a challenging journey into the mythical land of Everealm.
When the mysterious world is threatened by an evil Witch, a group of young people, known as the Paladins, must complete a set of challenges to restore peace to the Everealm. The real storyline is written and the contestants have to engage with the characters throughout, but the challenges and finishes are real as it depends on the competitors’ skills and decisions.
Most of the gameplay of the new version is based on the original, but focusing on the script is more important, unlike the previous duplication. In addition to the unique format of the competition series, which draws the attention of viewers to the world of the fully immersive Everealm series in which the series is set.
As competitors roam the mythical world and face unique challenges in the background of new settings, it is only natural that your curiosity fills the end.
The Quest Series Filming Locations
‘The Quest’ was recorded in the area of Calistoga, California, especially in Castello di Amorosa. According to reports, producers wanted to record a revival series in Burg Kreuzenstein, where the first 2014 edition of ‘The Quest’ was recorded. However, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, they had to relocate production to Calistoga.
The main photography of the first season of the new fairy tale series began in January 2021 and ended in March 2021.
Napa County
The co-organizing team of ‘The Quest’ is camping at Castello di Amorosa, a winery in the town of Calistoga in Napa County. Located on 4045 Street Helena Highway in Calistoga, a 13th-century Tuscan wine cellar makes an ideal recording studio for a fun show like ‘The Quest,’ due to its unique atmosphere.
