‘The Getaway King’ is a comedy film starring a heroic gangster named Najmro. Name, who is well-known for his escape from prison and for frequently arresting police officers, lived a life of self-indulgence, ignoring the plan. ‘The Getaway King’ was recorded in various regions throughout Poland, especially in Malopolskie, Slaskie, and Mazowieckie. The fact that most of the movie was shot in the Polish area adds a little bit of fiction to the story, which makes it even more true.

For recording purposes, the cast and crew of ‘The Getaway King’ set up tents in one of Poland’s oldest cities — Kraków. Located on the Vistula River in Malopolskie AKA Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Kraków is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, making it an outstanding recording site. As a city with a rich history, it is home to many historical architectural styles, which worked in favor of filming the film that was made in the 1980s.
Over time as the city grew, so did architectural designs in cities, making diversity in style more readily apparent. Due to the flexibility offered by Kraków, it is visited by many filmmakers for recording purposes. Over the years, the city has served as the site for many film coding projects, including the ‘Denial,’ ‘Schindler List,’ ‘Grand Budapest Hotel,’ and ‘Cracow Beasts.’

A team of producers even traveled to a few other cities in Poland to find an important sequel to the comedy film. In addition, it seems that many of the scenes, especially full of action, were filmed using a green screen in a studio set. One of the cities that serves as a movie production facility is Zabrze, an industrial city located in the Slaskie AKA Silesian Voivodeship.
