Uncharted 2022 American Action-adventure movie directed by Ruben Fleischer on-screen by Rafe Lee Judkins, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway, based on the Uncharted video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It plays Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan, and Sophia Ali, in support of Antonio Banderas supporting Tom Holland. In the film, Drake hired Sullivan in a race against the corrupt millionaire Santiago Moncada and military leader Jo Braddock in order to discover the fictional treasures of Magellan’s journey.
He entered into development before 2008 when producer Avi Arad said he would work with Sony Pictures to make a film based on the video game franchise.

Uncharted Movie Synopsis
Brother Sam and no- are caught running away from the museum in an attempt to steal the first map made after Magellan’s trip. An orphanage where both boys live is evicting Sam. Before he leaves, Sam promises his return to Nate, and leaves him a ring marked “Sic Parvis Magna”.
Fifteen years later, Nate works as a salesman in New York City and packs rich sponsors. Victor “Sully” Sullivan, a good hunter who worked with Sam on a treasure trove for Magellan’s team, explains to Nate that Sam disappeared after helping him steal the diary of Juan Sebastian Elcano. Nate, who received several postcards from Sam over the years, agrees to help Sully find her brother.
Sully and Nathan went to the auction to steal a gold cross attached to the Magellan party, where they met Santiago Moncada, the last descendant of the Moncada family who funded Magellan’s trip, and Jo Braddock, a Moncada-led military leader. Nate is under pressure from Braddock’s men, and the next battle creates the impression that Sully has stolen the cross.
The two went to Barcelona, where the treasure is said to have been hidden, and met Chloe Frazer, who was in contact with Sully, who had another cross. Chloe stole Nate’s first cross, but the men begged her to work with them. Meanwhile, Moncada learns from his father that the family property will be donated, so he orders Braddock to kill his father, in order to earn money for him. Nate, Chloe, and Sully traced Elcano’s diary to Santa Maria del Pi, discovering a secret crypt behind an altar. Nate and Chloe go in, finding a trap door, but as they open it, the crypt floods with water.
Sully helps them escape after defeating Braddock’s hideout. Using two crosses to unlock a secret passage, Nate and Chloe found a map showing the treasure in the Philippines. Chloe betrays Nate and grabs a map, indicating that Sully is keeping a secret about Sam. Chloe brings a map to Moncada, as having also been hired by him, annoying Braddock.
Sully recovers from Nate and says that after he and Sam found Elcano’s diary, they were attacked by Braddock; Sam was shot and Sully barely escaped. Moncada, Chloe, and Braddock’s team boarded a cargo plane to find treasure, but Braddock kills Moncada to gain power, forcing Chloe to hide. Nate and Sully board a plane in secret and Nate confronts Braddock. Chloe who was hiding in Braddock is found and a fight breaks out as Sully comes out with a map.
Nate and Chloe were released from a plane during the ensuing war and the two live in the Philippines, where they realize that the map does not show treasure. Nate finds a real treasure trove through the tips left by Sam’s postcards but leaves Chloe false links after questioning her honesty. He finds Magellan’s ships and reunites with Sully. Braddock follows them, forcing Nate and Sully to hide as his crew sails.
During their flight, Sully controlled one of the helicopters, prompting Braddock to order another helicopter to approach. Nate defends himself from his soldiers and drops off another helicopter with one of the ship’s rifles. Braddock drops the ship’s anchor while Nate boardes a helicopter.
Sully throws a bag of treasures collected in Braddock that falls into the sea and is crushed to death when a ship breaks down and falls on him. As the Philippine army arrived, Nate and Sully fled with a few pieces of treasure collected while Chloe was left empty-handed as she decided to follow the two.
It turns out that in the jail somewhere, Nate’s brother Sam appears to be writing a postcard warning his brother to beware of those around him. The second scene shows Nate meeting Gabe at a bar, someone who works for Roman. Sully enters to rescue Nate after Gabe is caught and re-arrested after leaving the bar, which may have led to a possible follow-up.
Uncharted (2022) Ending Explained: Sam Is Alive or Dead?
After letting Nate believe that Sam was just missing, Sully tells him that his brother was shot and killed by Braddock, with his help after his death with clues to the treasures of his last estate. Finally, the first part of Uncharted Credits shows that the bearded Sam is alive and locked up in a dark cell while trying to send messages to Tom Holland’s Nate.
If Uncharted movies follow from the games, the answer to how Sam survived came from Uncharted: A Thief’s End where he revealed that Sam’s supposed death never happened and he was arrested just after a fatal departure. Nate, who was at work, believed he was dead and left him, but they met again later when Sam was on bail. The same seems to be true in the movie Uncharted: perhaps Sully’s assertion is not true or Sully is more involved in Sam’s arrest than it seems.
It has been revealed in the Uncharted credit forum that Sam still has warnings for Nathan, as he is shown texting his brother to “watch his back”. Sam’s messages at that moment were vague, so it’s no surprise that he didn’t say what he did, but that statement suggests betrayal, and that means distrust of Sully or his colleagues. Although Nate and Sully seem to be uncooperative, their relationship is based on the occasional mistrust of Uncharted, and it would not be unreasonable for the poem to stop and pull those series again.
Sully’s Uncharted backstory reveals that Sam believes he had her arrested, or that their story is completely fabricated, and that Sam is deliberately imprisoned as he was during a story that led to his alleged death in a drama. Nathan is already in a world of cut-outs and criminals, and Sam’s advice is often sound, but it certainly seems to point to another revelation about his past with Mark Wahlberg’s Sully.
The second Uncharted credits scene introduces Pilou Asbaek as another bearded criminal after his spectacular turn as Euron Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones. In this, as it plays a major role, Asbaek is called “Gage”, a real movie character, just as there are a few Uninstalled characters, who wish for Nate’s ring. Gage may not be the protagonist of the play, but his boss, Roman, is.
In Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Nate, and Sully try to find the coffin of Sir Francis Drake – portrayed in the movie as their ancestor – which would lead them to the lost city of El Dorado. Gabriel Roman, the criminally ill-fated king of Britain and a lost cause, was on the same path and became a major opponent. Although not yet cast, he will be revealed in Uncharted 2 to continue.
