Despite widespread criticism received ‘365 days’ for glorifying sexual violence and the life of the mafia, it was a very popular film. In the series ‘365 Days: This Day,’ the filmmakers apparently decided to ignore the critics ’claims and stick to what worked commercially in the first film. The two films are based on the first two books of the ‘365 dni’ trilogy by Polish writer Blanka Lipinska.
In the first film, Massimo Torricelli (Michele Morrone), a staunch supporter of a powerful Sicilian mafia family, sees Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) on the day his father was killed and later became deeply concerned about her. He has subordinates who kidnapped him. Massimo then informed her that he planned to hold her for 365 days in order to date her. And finally, Laura does. She is also pregnant.
The sequel begins the night before Laura and Massimo’s wedding. But problems get to the couple after Laura thinks Massimo has cheated on her. Now, know about 365 days: This day movie.
365 Days: This Day Movie Synopsis
Somehow, ‘365 days: This day begins with Laura and Massimo having sex. They wear different wedding dresses and should not see each other, but one thing that these characters can not be blamed for is the norm. Laura’s best friend Olga (Magdalena Lamparska) walks in on them as soon as they are done, and then a scream.
After Massimo’s departure, the girls’ interview revealed the details of what happened to him in the tunnel at the end of the first film. Laura survived the ordeal, but her baby did not survive. She has not yet told Massimo, fearing that a war will break out between the mafia rival factions because she knows that Massimo will seek revenge.
After the honeymoon season is over, Laura begins to feel lonely and depressed in her life as the wife of the crowd. It was there that she met Nacho (Simone Susinna), a Spanish man who claimed to be their farmer. He seems to be leaving a deep impression on him despite their brief conversation.
Laura and Massimo celebrate Christmas with Laura’s parents, Olga, and members of Massimo’s party. Massimo has realized that his wife needs to do something to keep him busy and has bought him a clothing company to run his business. That night, after sex, they both talk about family, and Massimo finally reveals that he has a brother. When Laura tries to get more information from him, he just runs out of the room. When all of this happens, Olga and Domenico start dating, and they get engaged.
While Laura was still angry with Massimo, they had a party at their house. At one point, Laura thinks she sees Massimo walking with Anna (Natasza Urbańska) and follows them. When she finally followed them, they had sex in one of the rooms of her house.
Angry and embarrassed, Laura runs out of the house and runs to Nacho, who is about to leave her home. He asks to take her, and she gladly accepts. The next morning, Laura calls her mom to tell her that she is leaving Massimo before dropping her phone. “365 Days: This Day.”
Nacho takes her to his house, the rustic house and spacety Nacho claims to belong to his father. When Laura asks her about her father, Nacho runs away in a strange way. Either way, Laura seems to be really happy in Nacho’s company with her heavily pregnant sister Amelia.
Even if the latter situation reminds her of her miscarriage, he is dating another woman. Believing that Massimo has betrayed her and desperately wanting to continue, Laura begins a relationship with Nacho. Elsewhere, Massimo uses all the power of his organization to seek out his wife. “365 Days: This Day.”
365 Days: This Day Movie Ending, Explained
It has finally been revealed that the man Laura saw with Anna was not Massimo, but his identical twin, Adriano. Even in a family-like her, Adriano is considered a bad egg. It is widely thought that he caused great sorrow to his father and Massimo. And her relationship with her brother is far from ideal. Massimo does not even tell his wife that he has a brother.
Adriano teamed up with Anna, who is still upset that Massimo chose Laura in her place, to sow discord in Massimo’s marital life. For Adriano, Laura was a blessing in disguise. He realizes that she is the only weakness his brother has and decides to use that.
As for Nacho, he was revealed to be the son of Don Fernando Motos, the leader of a mafia group that has been fighting the Massimo family for generations. Don Motos sent Nacho to bring Laura to him. What he or Nacho himself does not anticipate is that the latter will love him. In the climax, Laura is taken by Adriano and Anna’s men posing as Don Motos’. They take her to Adriano, and Laura quickly realizes that she is not her husband.
In the climax, Nacho and Massimo find Laura after Adriano and Anna kidnap her. When Laura tries to run away, Anna shoots him, and then Nacho is shot. As Adriano tries to shoot his brother, Massimo pulls the explosives first, grabbing Adriano by the shoulder. As Massimo grabs his wife’s unresponsive body in his arms, Nacho walks away. “365 Days: This Day.”
Laura is not dead. There is another book in Blanka Lipinska’s trilogy, ‘Another 365 Days,’ and Laura is still the main character in the book. The third film was reportedly shot at the same time as the second, so it is much safer to think that we will see Laura survive her injury. Her marriage, on the other hand, has its ups and downs. She and Massimo need to talk about their issues of trust and tendency to make stupid decisions.
During their meeting, Don Motos tells Massimo that he and others were concerned about the speed with which Massimo was growing his empire. Therefore, they decided to cause Laura’s tragedy, basically acknowledging that he and his friends were responsible for the death of Massimo and Laura’s unborn child. However, at this point in the story, Massimo does not know that Laura was pregnant at the time of the accident. He finds it when Adriano reveals the truth to him, happily wondering if the child would ever resemble his father or mother.
That’s when Laura tried to hurry her husband, and Anna shoots her. This probably stops the narrative of the next film. As mentioned above, Laura did not tell Massimo about her pregnancy for fear that she would seek a vendetta. Now that he is able to cope with the loss he faces, Massimo will change, and the beast he has been able to catch until now will come out of him. “365 Days: This Day.”
