Scenes set up in Simon Wyler’s construction office were filmed on the premises of Roosevelt University, a tertiary institution located at 430 South Michigan Avenue in Downtown Chicago. Actors and staff also filmed scenes at the University Auditorium Theater, 50 East Ida B. Wells Drive. Visionary Vanguard Associates is named after the building of the Chicago Architecture Foundation, 111 East Wacker Drive.
In one of the scenes, Henry and Alex have a conversation on the street; the sequence was recorded at the 400 block of South Michigan Avenue. Among other notable recordings in the city is the Fine Arts Building (or Studebaker Building) at 410 South Michigan Avenue. Kate’s new apartment is also in town and is in the same location as the film. Scenes are actually recorded at 1620 North Racine Street.
An accident sequence was shot near the Richard J. Daley Memorial Plaza, 50 West Washington Street, at The Loop in Downtown Chicago.
