The series Never Have I Ever follows a girl named Devi. She has a strong Indian mother named Nalini. Devi Sees her father die in front of him. She still agrees with what happened in front of him. Devi was very close to her father and could not deal with her death in a positive way. To make matters worse, she eventually fell in love with two young men. One of them was her enemy, Ben. One was a school jockey, Paxton. Now, Netflix has a habit of releasing 30-year-olds and doing the same with the Paxton character. Not thinking too much about this issue and choosing nit-picking, she did a good job of playing the role of a child.
Never Have I Ever Season 1 is about the love triangle and Never Have I Ever Season 2 is about Devi dealing with all the problems she has in her life. With the help of her mother and the therapist, Devi is making great progress. However, she is still confused between Ben and Paxton. Never Have I Ever Season 1 follows a love triangle between the three main characters.
The audience can see that Devi realizes that she did not want to break the hearts of Paxton and Ben. So, she decides to date both at the end of the first season. Was this a wise decision? of course not! However, she was supported by her close friends. The decision also made her feel bad when they discovered that she was cheating on them.
They both broke up with Devi. She now has to deal with problems while working with her family and hurting her friends in the process. To make matters worse, there is a new girl in town. Aneesa is Indian and Devi thinks she is a rival. Season 2 of the comedy series ends one part of Devi and Paxton and Ben’s love triangle while laying the groundwork for a few more stories. Obviously, fans are wondering what really happened at the end of Never Have I Ever season 2 and want it explained.
Never Have I Ever Season 2 Ending Explained
After several competing trades and misunderstandings, Nalini is deeply drawn to Drs. Chris Jackson. We also see them briefly in love. Devi did not want Nalini to fall in love a year after her father’s death because she thought it was a betrayal of her father. It turned out that Nalini was not ready to jump with Chris.
We see that long after Mohan’s death, Nalini found herself unprepared to return to the dating game. She was still grieving for her late husband, and Devi was still grieving for her father. Chris was someone he loved and connected with, however, she would not commit to a relationship yet.
We even saw Paxton mistreat Devi. He uses his resources to support herself, helps him with his exams, and gets him to do his homework. Paxton’s sister has been telling him that he is hurting Devi, which explains why she is not so confident about him.
He remembers all the times they spent together and how Devi pushed her to get better, how outdoor swimming scholarships are now open to her. Paxton gets dressed and leaves after receiving a report from the school that his grades are improving. Unfortunately, Devi was walking and collided with his car.
Also, Devi could not bear to see Ben and Anees fall in love. Paxton’s confession, however, quickly overwhelms him. He still wants to go public as her boyfriend because he is no longer ashamed of being cheated on. Paxton’s friends laugh at him as they walk together in a school dance, however, he’s glad to be there with Devi.
Paxton wants to try them right. Devi is also determined to continue their relationship after appearing at the prom and dancing with her in front of everyone. Paxton also calls her his girlfriend. Unlike the first season, Never Have I Ever Season 2 concludes with Devi choosing Paxton instead of Ben.
Given Ben and Devi’s dissatisfaction with his relationship, Never Have I Ever Season 3 is likely to continue to focus on the love triangle. However, the series may focus on Devi and Paxton as the first couple. Since their relationship seems to have no obstacles in the way, I have never been wise to focus on how they are developing as a relationship in the future. Also, the series does a decent job of developing its main character. Devi is still grieving and traumatized after seeing his father’s death before him in season 2.
However, in Never Have I Ever season 2, we see her face her emotions and are emotionally saddened by her mother and her support. So, as Devi finally acknowledges his thoughts and faced them upfront, it is possible that season 3 may find the teen in a state of emotional and mental health. Hopefully, he will have healthy communication with his friends, family, and Paxton because of this understanding.
