The Girl from Plainville Season 1 Episode 8, Back in the “modern” timeline, prosecutor Katie Rayburn is frustrated by Drs. Breggin also initially struggles against it. However, she eventually convinced him that her first diagnosis of Michelle could be flawed.
The prosecutor is also able to cast doubt on a doctor’s theory of irrational drunkenness. After a day in court, Michelle accompanies her family to their sister’s study but suffers from a disturbing vision while sitting in the audience.

The Girl from Plainville Season 1 Episode 7 begins with episode 6 of the cliffhanger, and Michelle finally hears a response from Conrad. She tells him how scared she is when he doesn’t answer, and they both end up talking calmly. At one point, Conrad reveals that he does not want to fail the next time he tries to commit suicide. Michelle responds with insight, saying that he should be willing to try everything. In the end, Conrad says there is nothing he can do to stop him from committing suicide.
Meanwhile, in Michelle’s trial in 2017, Dr. Breggin was presented as a witness. He immediately impresses the judge with his detailed expertise on the effects of the selected drug serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) on human behavior. He blamed Michelle and Conrad’s actions on their antidepressant drugs, saying the former suffered from “automatic intoxication” in the days before Conrad’s death.
Some time ago from the beginning of July 2014, just a few weeks after Conrad’s death, we saw Michelle and her start discussing ways he could commit suicide. A teenager wants to look like an accident, so no one feels guilty about his or her death. Michelle is occasionally devastated by Conrad’s seemingly imminent death and tells her friend, Natalie. At one point, Conrad fears that he is about to carry out his “plan”, Michelle tells her friend that he is lost.
