Ouija: Origin of Evil’ is a thrilling story. Backing up the 2014 film ‘Ouija,’ the story builds on Hasbro’s iconic board game and characters created by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White. Following the spirit medium Alice Zander and her two daughters, they stumble upon the Ouija board and free the demons.

‘Ouija: Origin of Evil was recorded throughout and around Los Angeles, California. The main filming process reportedly began in September 2015 and was completed in October 2015. Filmmakers and producers from around the world are visiting California to produce their projects, as the region is home to the famous Hollywood film production region. Skilled professionals are numerous, and the region exhibits some of the world’s leading production facilities.
Michael Fimognari (filmmaker for ‘The Haunting of Hill House’) has done a lot of camera work, using old lenses to express the film’s seasonal feel. At the same time, Patricio M. Farrell (who later collaborated with Fimognari on ‘The Haunting of Hill House’) came out as a production designer.
“Ouija: Origin of Evil.” Almost all the sculptures took place at various locations in the City of Angels. To create the atmosphere of Zander House, workers fired outdoor scenes outside the horrible living room at 5915 Echo Street in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles. The same house appears in David F. Sandberg’s horror venture of 2016 ‘Lights.’
An area at 140 South Avenue 59 encouraged the recording of photos inside Zanders’ home. A few of the series were re-recorded at Cicada Club, a contemporary art deco restaurant located at 617 South Olive Street in the iconic building of James Oviatt. The restaurant offers delicious Italian food accompanied by live music.
Several sequences were recorded within the studio spaces. The team acquired Occidental Studios, a large production facility located at 201 North Occidental Boulevard in the heart of Los Angeles. The busy studio is equipped with more than a dozen audio segments. It has been home to many respected brands, including ‘The Terminator’ to ‘Sharp Objects.’
Part of the Ouija: Origin of Evil film was re-lensed at Red Studios (formerly known as Desilu Cahuenga Studios and Ren-Mar Studios), another historic 846 North Cahuenga Boulevard filmmaking site in the Hollywood studio area. Originally the site of Metro Pictures Back Lot # 3, the studio went through many patent changes. From ‘I Love Lucy’ to ‘Seinfeld,’ classic programs and movies have visited the studio in the past.
Some of the driving licenses for Warner Bros. Ranch at 411 North Hollywood Way in the Burbank area of Los Angeles County. Formerly Columbia Ranch, the production site has many games and movies. You may see a symbolic source in the opening series of ‘Friends.’
A few shots were fitted with a lens at Clark Residences, a property management company located at 306 Loma Drive in Los Angeles. Staff walks out of comfortable studio areas (or sets) several times. Alice buys an ouija board at Fair Oaks Pharmacy, a historic pharmacy at 1526 Mission Street in South Pasadena. Due to the source of soda, sandwiches, and ice cream, the place is a favorite among local children.
