Winning Time Season 1 Episode 7 title “Invisible Man” While Buss clashes with the West over the coaching staff, Paul calls for Pat Riley’s favor. On the road for the first time, Earvin tries to reconnect with loved ones in Lansing, before heading to Boston to compete with his long-time rival Larry Bird.
Winning Time Season 1 Episode 6: Recap
Winning Time Season 1 Episode 6, titled ‘Momento Mori,’ opens with Paul Westhead waiting for Jack McKinney to play tennis. However, he gets a call about McKinney’s accident and is rushed to the hospital immediately. Meanwhile, Magic Johnson meets with a host of shoe brands who wish to sign him as their outstanding basketball player. However, Magic is upset when he reveals that they are all in a conversation with Magic’s rival, Larry Bird.
On the other hand, Phil Knight, the founder of the emerging Nike, magically impresses with his unique shoe design. However, he does not have much money to give. However, Knight offers Magic $ 1 for all shoes sold with 100,000 stock options in the company.
Later, Magic meets Drs. Day to discuss his finances and decide on a shoe sponsor. Jerry Buss is trying to convince the Great Western Bank to proceed with its loan agreement when he learns that his mother has paid the sellers with a closed bank account. When Buss looks at his mother, he can see that she is showing signs of dementia.
Elsewhere, Lakers bosses are notified of McKinney’s accident. Buss arrives at the hospital and realizes that McKinney will not be able to coach the team in their next game against the Denver Nuggets. Therefore, he is assisting assistant coach Paul Westhead with responsibility.
Westhead is not sure if he can handle the challenge, but before he can think about it, he is exposed and forced to speak to the media. The group’s behavior is also affected when they hear of McKinney’s accident. How the Westhead and the LA Lakers won the McKinney accident disaster forms the remainder of the plot.
