The Imitation Game’ was filmed in different parts of England, mainly in London, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Dorset.
The movie’s main filming began on September 15, 2013, and ended on November 11, 2013. In addition to the authenticity of the narrative, some of the real scenes from Alan Turing’s life are included in the movie.

The Imitation Game’ was filmed primarily in London, the capital of England. The interior of the MI6 Palace has been rebuilt at the Lethaby Gallery on the Central Saint Martins College campus in Granary Square. Important scenes were also lensed at Aldwych Tube Station in Westminster City in London and King’s Cross Station in Camden.

In addition, scenes showing the Admiralty Records Center were shot at the Royal Courts of Justice in Strand. Additionally, some scenes were recorded near Carey Street. The exterior of Bletchley Park seen in ‘The Imitation Game’ was actually shot at Joyce Grove, a Jacobethhan-like country house in the Oxfordshire district of Nettlebed. It was completed in 1908, under Sue Ryder National Charity, and served as its nursing home until March 2020. Significant scenes were also recorded at Bicester Aerodrome, located in Launton, Bicester.
In addition to this Benedict Cumberbatch star, many movies and TV shows such as ‘The Dark Hour,’ ‘Clockwork Orange,’ ‘Mary Queen of Scots,’ and ‘Witch Discovery’ were filmed in the beautiful Oxfordshire region.

The cast and crew of the ‘acting play’ team watched the interior of Bletchley Park in a real building in Bletchley, a town in Milton Keynes. This is exactly where the real Alan Turing and his colleagues worked to produce the Enigma Code during World War II. The bar shown in the movie is actually a playroom in the building.
In addition, the town of Bletchley was rebuilt on Church Street in Chesam, and several sections were recorded mainly at 73 and 68 Church Street. Scenes depicting the school of young Alan Turing’s The Imitation Game’ were screened at the Sherborne Real School on Abbey Road in Sherborne. This prestigious school was founded in 705 AD and has been operating in the same area for over 1300 years now.
In 1926, Turing enrolled in school at the age of thirteen. An important feature of geographical history, the Dorset region has seen the filming of the hit film ‘Dunkirk’ and the TV series ‘Wolf Hall.’ “The Imitation Game.”
