Mithya Season 1: Recap
“Mithya Season 1.” The story follows Juhi Adhikari, a professor of Hindi literature after failing one of her students, Rhea Rajguru, for cheating. Juhi is in a happy marriage to Neil Adhikari, played by Parambrata Chatterjee, and is portrayed as trying to have children. We see cracks in their marriage when Juhi thinks somehow about his friend Vishal and shows his other friend, Sharmishtha, that it is not a paradise at all in their relationship.
In the midst of all of this, she inserts Rhea Rajguru’s paper “F” as she believes it was copied, though Rhea says otherwise. Rhea doesn’t take this seriously and starts harassing Juhi by exaggerating their hatred. She also goes to Juhi’s house when she is not there, pretending to give him supporting points, and flirting with her husband. This is where Juhi’s cat gets lost, and the viewer and Juhi see that Rhea is guilty.
As Juhi’s suspicions about Rhea continue to grow, they also face a lot of opposition from her family and friends, who do not believe she is overreacting. Things get worse when Juhi sees that Rhea is wearing her stolen ring and trying to snatch it from her hand, she realizes that it is a copy. This embarrasses her a lot and there is no doubt about her honesty about her allegations that Rhea is a troublemaker.
The incident also sparked a fight between her and her husband, indicating that she thinks Juhi got all the pieces because of her father’s position. Neil is also concerned because the tuition grant he has requested is in the hands of Rhea’s father, and could be in serious danger to Juhi’s actions.
All the while, Rhea and Neil kept in touch, eventually exchanging sexually explicit images, Rhea lost her power against Juhi to get out of cheating cases. The following are revelations about the motive for Rhea’s actions and her connection with Juhi in all of these events.
Mithya Season 1: Ending Explained
The first episode opens with the murder of Neil Adhikari. The episodes follow the format of flashbacks, ending with the current part that includes the investigation. As the story of “Mithya” continues, the viewer already has an idea that Rhea will be a killer, and in the last episode, we see how this plays out. Juhi has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband, but one of the officers is not fully convinced and is investigating further.
Meanwhile, Juhi’s father calls Rhea and asks to meet. They discuss their history and that Juhi is the only one who represented Rhea and confronted her father for her mistakes. She begs him to help Juhi if he can. That’s when Rhea tells him that she has already helped Juhi by killing Neil. In his own words, Neil was about to be strangled, so he killed him in self-defense. Juhi’s father then revealed that he had been recording their conversation all the time, and now they have evidence to get Juhi out of jail.
The incident reaches 2 years later. Juhi is now the author of a published book and is the mother of the child and lives with her parents. She decides to meet Rhea one last time when he asks her, so she can know the truth forever. It was at this point that they met and spoke kindly to Rhea, who admitted that she had not killed Neil in self-defense but out of anger.
She tells Juhi that she had given him the collar of her dead cat, stating that she was actually the one who killed him. Neil calls her a beast and says that her mother killed herself because she could not give birth to such a monster. This is the point where Rhea loses control and stabs Neil angrily. She closes her crime with the help of her friend, Ronnie, who also wrote Rhea’s assignments.
Upon hearing this, Juhi tells Rhea that she does not want to see him again. She is finished with her lying nature. She wishes Rhea had found something meaningful that she could live for but not live forever in her life.
The incident reaches Rhea who tells Ronnie to continue the job, which is thought to be the murder of her adoptive father, who has been neglecting her entire life. Juhi and her mother, on the other hand, reconciled with their father and reunited their family. Juhi receives a letter from Rhea a few minutes ago, stating that Rhea thinks Juhi is a perfect woman, and Rhea is not, because the first one received the last part of the upbringing.
She promises she will never come back to life but asks Juhi if he can trust Rhea in this, as she always lies. Juhi is startled and looks at her son, who is sleeping peacefully, but next to him are petals of a certain flower, indicating that Rhea has returned to their lives. This has been a wonderful conclusion for “Mithya,” although he has not yet been able to explain his mixed feelings about it. “Mithya Season 1.”
