The Gilded Age Season 1 Episode 7 with George holding a show about his station, Union Central Station. Like his house, Stanford White is in charge of designing it, and George is working with Thomas Edison to be fully enlightened by electric lights. Seeing his father happy for the first time in a few days, Larry (Harry Richardson) decides to tell him he wants to be an architect.
He has Gladys (Taissa Farmiga) and Mr. White to support him, but George strongly rejects this idea. Later in the episode, Larry seems to reach out to his father when he tells him that he does not want to be remembered as a frustrated son of George and wants to make his own way, which makes George agree to take it seriously.
Meanwhile, from what she had learned from Ambrose earlier, Agnes comes to the conclusion that Oscar (Blake Ritson) is in love with Turner and sends Marian (Louisa Jacobson) to the Russell family to ask Bertha (Carrie Coon) to expel Turner, Bertha at last. it does. When Oscar hears about it, he comes to see it as a good thing, believing that he may be able to reunite with the Russell family.
The quarrel between George and Bertha continues to erupt over their priorities. George is not yet close to finding out who sent the message to the man in charge of building the train, telling him to cut corners. He could go to jail. When he and Bertha talk about this, he seems very worried about how all of this will affect their standing in the community. At Sylvia’s (Jeanne Tripplehorn) home, Marian and Raikes meet and discuss their future. Marian’s tips on pragmatism and hope in the face of Raikes’ enduring love. They even kissed each other with love.
Thomas Edison will host an electric show at the New York Times office. George will also be there. Bertha plans a trip to the event and includes Ward McAllister, Fanes, and Raikes. To Marian’s chagrin, she is locked out. It was later revealed that Aurora had proposed to a young woman who is said to be the wife of Henry Flagler, a real-life oil industry. Meanwhile, Peggy (Denée Benton) is attending the event with T. Thomas Fortune.
