‘The Cursed’ is a horror movie in which a violent landlord commits a crime and opens up a vicious curse on his family and village. It becomes a nightmare for the people of the city who fall victim to it, and with a series of serious accidents later, pathologist John McBride warns them of a dark presence.
Set in 19th-century France, the movie looks good, despite the fact that it is full of subtle lyrics that instill fear in viewers.
The Cursed Filming Locations
Originally titled ‘Eight for Silver,’ ‘The Cursed’ was recorded in France. Photography appears to have begun in late 2018 and ended in early 2020. Roxane Duran, who writes the Anais character, shared a beautiful photo from her first day on the set.
One of the most terrifying features of the movie, besides the story, is its visual effects. A lot has created a perfect ambiance for The Cursed horror movie.
Cognac, a densely populated area located on the Charente River in western France, is where the movie was filmed. The village is home to about 20k residents. Despite its relatively small population, Cognac has a number of notable features that have elevated its international reputation.
Cognac is world-famous for its alcoholic beverages of the same name. Director Sean Ellis posted a few photos taken during the filming of the actress as the actors dressed in their blood-stained costumes, appearing to enjoy their playing time.
Over the years, Cognac has served as a recording studio for many productions such as ‘Lola & Her Brothers’ and ‘The Dazzled.’ The best thing about Cognac is its flexibility as a recording studio. It can be customized to fit the look of any filmmaker setting up his or her equipment in this delightful city.
So Sean Ellis made good use of this beautiful village for what it has to offer and transformed it into a magnificent ancient site. Actors and crew set up camp in the desert where most of The Cursed movie is shown.
