The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 Episode 7: Recap
The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 Episode 7 begins with Eli in the hospital and Jesse and Judy arrive with their spouses, fearing that they will lose their father. This emotion-filled scene is quickly transformed into an old-fashioned style of fine gemstones. As soon as they are outside, Jesse begins to vomit out of fear, frustration, and other negative emotions.
But that ultimately does not change the fact that they are gems – they are ambitious, cruel, and devoid of a sense of worth. Jesse and Amber took the stage together during next week’s sermon, telling the congregation what had happened to Eli, and shamelessly claiming to be the next church leaders. At lunch at church, Judy calls them this. They were soon joined by Kelvin (Adam DeVine), who was apparently not at his father’s bedside.
Ever since he spat with his father in public, which resulted in Eli breaking both his thumbs and losing the leadership of the God Squad, Kelvin has been forced to examine himself further. But it is not enough to change his natural personality. While more focused than his siblings, that’s a low bar. As Jesse, Judy, and Kelvin begin to argue, Martin speaks up, blaming them for their deplorable conduct.
Gideon observes his family’s activities and announces that he wants to move, which upsets his mother. Judy, BJ, and Tiffany found “Baby” Billy selling his version of snake oil. She tries to turn everything around to Tiffany, saying she never believed him, but it doesn’t work. Jesse and Martin came up with a plan to attract attackers. The older Gemstone kid then meets Judy and Kelvin, they agree to work together.
