1883 Season 1 Episode 8. ’It opens the caravan recovering from the recent storm. The group has been camping in the Native American area and has not improved on their journey over the past few days. Before they can move forward, the team needs to rethink its journey, accidents, and destination. Sam invites his fellow countrymen to trade with him and to stop the wagon to get the necessities. For Comanche heroes, the team gets a few horses and ammunition.
Soon, Charlie leaves the caravan but not before advising Shea to change the team route due to accidents on the way. Shea decides to set up a caravan at a camp near the tribal center. Sam and Elsa’s love affair blossoms and the two spend time together.
In the fields, Sam teaches Elsa to kill a buffalo. After Elsa kills a buffalo, Sam reveals that his tribe believes that eating buffalo heart transfers animal power to man. However, Margaret is concerned about Elsa’s relationship with Sam. On the other hand, Sam and Elsa are discussing marriage.
At the same time, Shea suggests to immigrants that it is best for them to settle in Denver. However, immigrants are not happy about the change. Although Shea’s decision may have some merit, immigrants are not always convinced that it is the right decision. James intervenes and promises to lead immigrants to Oregon. The immigrants agreed to follow James, and the group leadership passed from Shea to James.
