Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 17: Recap
In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 17, Tanjiro sees his teammates fall in front of the demonic brothers in a row. Inosuke was stabbed by Gyutaro, Zenitsu was trapped under the rubble, and Tengen’s heart stopped beating. He glances at a small ray of hope and then faints slowly.
Drowning out in despair, Tanjiro apologizes to everyone who has disappointed him. He wakes up in the snowy mountains of his homeland, where Nezuko reminds him of the essence of not giving up. Although it was nothing but a dream, it brings back Tanjiro’s calmness for now.
Happily, Gyutaro did not kill Tanjiro while lying unconscious on the rubble. Either you want to torture Tanjiro to death, or you plan to turn Tanjuro into a good demon like him. None of these options are acceptable to Tanjiro, so he made a serious effort to escape with his sister.
We later learn that his plan was to catch Gyutaro away and stab him with a poisonous kunai. When he is successful, he lowers the demon by the head and tries to cut off his head. However, the veteran monster was too clever to fall for the trick.
As soon as everything was lost, and it seemed that evil would have a final laugh, Tengen reappeared as Tanjiro’s guardian deity and engaged Gyutaro in a fierce battle. He analyzes Gyutaro’s repeated attack patterns as song notes and responds appropriately.
At that moment, Zenitsu and Inosuke meet Daki and defeat him with their amazing strength and speed. Tanjiro finally finds the place he was looking for when Gyutaro’s scissors hit his jaw, and he cuts off the demon’s head with a single swing of Hinokami Kagura.
