The horror-thriller of director Mar Targarona leaves the audience confused about the characters most of the time and makes some really twisted stories towards the end. Two (Dos).
Two (Dos): Movie Synopsis
The Two (Dos) film opens with a magnificent room where David and Sarah get out of bed, hugging each other. When they woke up, it was clear that something was amiss, and it turned out that the two did not know each other.
However, they stay close to each other, unable to “rip” and realize they are stuck together. Sara begins to panic and pulls away, causing both of them to gnaw in pain. As they continue their investigation, when they both come down and feel their bellies, they realize they are sewn together.
The fence in the house catches their eye, and they both painfully descend from the bed toward it. Although the phone was dead, they found a camera embedded in one of the walls. Sara still blames David, thinking he had planned the whole affair.
Gradually, though, she realizes that her jealous husband, Mario, may have been behind the plot. David also confirms that a man like Mario’s description gave him a large sum of money to have sex with his wife. As they continued searching the room, they came upon a picture of a little girl named Rita on one of the bedside tables.
By digging into each other’s history, it turns out that David is a male escort, and Sarah is married but cheating on her husband. As the two victims come closer and finally kiss each other, the room lights suddenly turn off. Sara then finds out that their kidnapper doesn’t like to see them kissing and continues to cover her lips with David. As they became more and more zealous, an elderly stranger secretly entered the room and ordered them to stop.
Two (Dos): Movie Ending:
Sara says the stranger is hiding from her as her husband, and David confirms that she was the one who paid her the money. They defeated their captor and fled the room, eventually reaching an unknown laboratory. On the wall, they see newspaper clippings about the birth of two twin male and female twins and gradually realize that the story refers to them. In desperation, they finally found a sharp knife and began to cut the stitches that covered their bellies.
Finally, Sara is relieved when David sits down, bleeding from the injuries he received from their captor. However, when she gets outside, Sarah realizes that they are in a remote area, covered with snow, and there are no signs of help. The film then closes with David bleeding to death inside the building while Sara succumbs to the cold and her injuries outside.
So, the film ends with the deaths of David and Sarah, and the two middle characters are almost dead. This is further illustrated by the words of the hostage-taker. At the time of his death, he says the two should not be separated, as they are strong together.
Strangely enough, the magnificent stitches that hold David and Sarah together are the lifeblood of their lives. This is symbolic communication rather than understanding, as we see that as soon as the two of them break their physical bond (stitches), they die. As David and Sarah are portrayed as twins in the headlines, the film reveals how powerful they were when they were “together.”
In fact, the whole reason for putting them to the test has turned out to be a distorted view of the stranger, claiming to be his father. After learning of the importance of the universe of the second number, Sarah briefly explained to David by explaining how many elements of the universe are based on the concept of dualism, the unknown being busy assembling twins. In his twisted mind, the stranger thinks that David and Sarah need to be reunited, so he kidnaps them and separates them painfully, reuniting them.
Rita is a young woman whose picture is found on a bedside table. Sara also finds herself wearing earrings that appear to be worn by Rita in the photo and taking them off in disgust. In the twisted version of the film, it turns out that Rita is the mother of David and Sarah, who died in childbirth. Although Sarah claims that her father died, she may have been referring to her adoptive parents.
So the stranger who claims to be Rita’s husband, and as a result, their father, is probably telling the truth. This will also explain why he is so determined to “reconnect” his offspring. Eventually, to our knowledge, it appears that David and Sarah were pursued by their father, who lived under the illusion that his twin sons had to be reunited. The fact that he has a collection of fearsome animals all the way to get them together also tells us that the old man has been planning to do that for a long time.
