The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 Episode 4: Recap
The Righteous Gemstones Season 2 Episode 4 begins with a flashback scene. “Baby” Billy as Walton Goggins takes his son Harmon and his wife to the mall, promising to give Harmon anything he wants for his birthday. Harmon wants a cat, so they visit a pet store. After interrupting his then-wife with work, “Baby” Billy bids farewell to his son and leaves their lives.
In the meantime, BJ will be baptized by Eli at a grand ceremony organized by Judy as Edi Patterson. His atheistic family arrives in Charleston, South Carolina, for the ceremony. Judy, who is self-centered, has little time to spare for her husband’s family. Despite having a 14-room mansion, Judy accommodates them in a hotel. When BJ’s family revealed this, he said he and BJ were already carrying “Baby” Billy and Tiffany who appeared to be pregnant in their home.
Elsewhere, Jesse and Amber told the Lissons that they could not afford to invest the $ 20 million they promised in Zion’s Landing. Eli manages all the money in Gemstone Ministries and refuses to get involved in Zion’s Landing in person. This caused the Lissons to ridicule the Gemstones and leave suddenly.
At that moment, Kelvin as Adam DeVine tries hard to control God’s Team after Eli forbids them to go to Israel and walk in the footsteps of Christ. Of all of Eli’s children, Kelvin seems to have been deeply moved by the idea that his father could have a loving life after Aimee-Leigh’s death.
The event itself goes smoothly as Eli baptizes BJ. But as is often the case with Gemstones, things quickly turn into pandemonium altogether. BJ’s sister finds out how Judy is mentally disturbed when the man puts her in a corner of the bathroom and says that his (Judy’s) brothers are having sex with him.
BJ’s sister later confronted her brother, who angrily threw a fist at him and finally beat Eli. When Kelvin confronted his father, pushed and punched him, Eli was on his mind. A pro-wrestler from the depths is also appearing, and breaking the thumbs of his young child.
