‘La Fortuna’ is a thrilling drama Tv series about a treasure found on the ocean by American traveler and treasure hunter Frank Wild. As soon as he announced the news to the world, it caught the attention of the Spanish government, who suspected that the shipwreck was La Fortuna. Therefore, young and inexperienced politician Álex Ventura has been given the task of finding a fortune that Spain believes he owns rightfully.

‘La Fortuna’ was recorded primarily in different parts of Spain, while a few shots were taken in Washington, D.C. This is because the bilingual drama is intertwined between events taking place in Madrid and the US capital.
In addition, it contains detailed photographs of the shipwreck of La Fortuna centuries ago. The main photography is reportedly done from the end of July 2020 until the end of April 2021.
“La Fortuna.” The province of Cádiz, located in the autonomous community of Andalusia, serves as an important recording center for the exhibition. Some of the scenes were shot at Naval Station Rota, which is probably a major employer in Rota municipality.
Another Cádiz municipality that is most prominent in the exhibition is La Línea de la Concepción, where important sequences were recorded at the convention center called Palacio de Congresos de La Línea. In addition, the group has seen important scenes in various parts of Campo de Gibraltar, including the coastal city of Algeciras.
Given that much of the story is set in Madrid, it is only natural that the Spanish capital is used for recording. Clearly, dozens of military vehicles and tanks were spotted in the heart of the city by the end of 2020, much to the dismay of residents. However, Paco Roca and Guillermo Corral – co-authors of the first clear novel that promoted the show – made it clear that it was part of the production process.
In addition, several series were shot at Moncloa Palace, on Puerta de Hierro Avenue. It is a very significant symbol as it serves as the official residence and function of the Prime Minister of the country. In addition, VFX work was done at Twin Pines, a post-production company based in Madrid.
Demonstrating the historic battle between the Spanish Armada and the British Royal Navy, actors and crews flocked to Gipuzkoa province in the independent Basque Country. A few scenes were recorded mainly in the Pasaia or Pasajes municipality.
According to sources, real frigates, the French Étoile du Roy (AKA King’s Star), and the Russian Shtandart are used for shooting. The Basque Country is located on the shores of the Bay of Biscay, a harbor of the Atlantic Ocean.
Besides all the places mentioned above, a few other places in Spain also served as a recording studio for this production. They are Guadalajara in Castilla-La Mancha, Zaragoza in Aragón, and Ferrol and A Coruña in the province of A Coruña in Galicia.
Even though ‘La Fortuna’ was almost entirely recorded in Spain, a second unit was reportedly sent to capture a few innovative photographs in Washington, D.C. After all, outside of Madrid, the American capital is the main character in the narrative of the game.
