American Auto Season 1 Episode 2,’ begins with Katherine Hastings dealing with the bad news she and Ponderosa received in the papers. Katherine wants Sadie to somehow delete the article from public view. Meanwhile, killer Johnny Turner was driving a Payne van in which a male prisoner was trapped inside.
Another negative story about Payne Motors is reaching the papers. Katherine then asked to negotiate with Point On Detroit to save her company image. Elliot also revealed that the FBI had called the company because it wanted details of the location of the killer who was driving his truck.
In the interview, Katherine resolves the FBI’s request, but the manager does not understand her statement as one who claims to be protecting the killer Johnny Turner. Katherine says she wants to talk to the producer to make a few cuts. Sadie wants to obey the subpoena while Katherine does not want to.
At that point, Wesley was able to make Jack his subordinate. Cyrus and Elliot appear to have refused to give the details of the killer’s whereabouts to the FBI but have secretly revealed his whereabouts to the agents.
Katherine tries to produce a van-free van while Sadie tries to record families claiming to support the company’s purity. Wesley annoyed Elliot by making Jack do certain things when Sadie tried to negotiate with Fay, the pastor’s wife who died at the hands of the killer. Katherine decides to introduce the van to a sick wife as a way of advertising.
Wesley, on the other hand, tries to call Jack his property, but the latter destroys him. Fay tells Katherine that her husband gave his life to fight the homosexual agenda. He openly admits that he will use the van to continue Clive’s fight against homosexuality. Sadie hears the news about the police kidnapping Johnny Turner but decides not to respond, and Katherine agrees.
