Evangeline Lilly had a variety of odd jobs before she landed her big break and lost including flight attending waitressing and perhaps most surprisingly changing oil for big trucks in an interview with metro. “Doing oil changes and grease jobs on big rig trucks in the winter in Canada was harder. I was a mobile grease monkey. I’d drive a one-ton truck to parking lots and work on vehicles. It wasn’t glamorous.”

The actress took the fighting scenes in the movie very seriously, she studied muay Thai and MMA style fighting for ant-man however in order to state the root of her character. “When we did Ant-Man, I had to study a little bit of muay Thai and MMA style fighting.”
“And MMA style fighting is distinctly masculine, it’s got a very masculine posture and a very masculine attack, and that was so difficult for me because I don’t move that way naturally.”
