“I was thinking about making money. I was going to university, and my main focus was studying law.”
“A friend of mine who was doing commercials was like, Hey, maybe you could try to do that because if you book something, a day of work is 500 euros. And I thought ‘oh wow, that’s great.”
“So I got representation with an agency by making a fake resume, I lied, I said that it rained at a very famous drama school in Paris for three years, I was a professional actress, blah blah blah.”
“But I got representation, and booked my first spot on a little fib.”
Elodie Yung eventually landed her first role on La Vie Devant Nous’s french tv drama about high school students.

Elodie Yung was not an unknown to the rest of the world by the time, she made it to Hollywood but America took a little longer to find out, she started her professional acting career in the early 2000s through french films and television series, after gaining national recognition through her work in the local industry.

Elodie Yung played Elektra in the Netflix series Marvel’s Daredevil in the defenders Elektra made her debut in season 2 of the show daredevil young has admitted that before landing the role she had never read the comics she also didn’t know she was auditioning for Daredevil she said
“When I was auditioning, I didn’t know it was Daredevil. Everything was secret. Their secret agents. wouldn’t give you any clues.”
“I was a big fan of the show, and I think it helped me, once I got the part, to really understand the world that they live in. It helped me during shooting.”
3 She Auditioned For The Role of Wonder Woman
Elodie Yung made it pretty far in the wonder woman casting process for batman superman dawn of justice before losing out to Gal Gadot fortunately while she failed to make her way into the DCU, she eventually boarded marvel’s Netflix division by being cast as Elektra.

1 Her Career As An Actress Helped Her Father Reconcile With His Past
Her father left Cambodia when the political situation started to erode in the 1970s and sought political asylum in France. Elodie Yung said
“My dad managed to escape because he was in the army. They had training in Thailand, so he was not in Cambodia when the Khmer Rouge took over.”
“My dad, for years, didn’t want to go back to Cambodia. I actually went to Cambodia before he did.”
Elodie Yung visited Cambodia for the first time while filming a movie in Thailand
“When I called him from there, he was crying on the phone with me. After a couple of years, he decided to go back.”
“He was going back and forth but now he’s living in Cambodia he’s happy living there now.”
