“Vigil.” Produced by Tom Edge, Whistle is a British crime series that follows Detective Chief Inspector Amy Silva, who investigates the ****** ballistic missile submarine HMS Whistle. ****** And while investigations were linked to the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler, police clashed with the Navy and the British security service MI5.

Where Was Vigil Series Filmed?
The ‘Vigil’ shooting took place in Scotland, England. Principal photography for the first season began on 3 February 2020 in Dumbarton, Scotland, but was soon halted due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming resumed on August 14, 2020, and lasted until October 2020.

Vigil filming takes place mainly in Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire. Scenes from the first season’s submarine HMS Whistle were filmed at the BBC’s Dumbarton Studios, a production center located on Goose Home Road in Dumbarton.
Production designer Tom Sayre designed the submarine interior with a substantial amount of aluminum strips, gray paint, and metal grille flooring on the sound stage in the studio. The beautiful city of Dumbarton is located on the north bank of the Clyde River.
The most populous city in Scotland serves as the main filming location for the Glasgow series. The Clyde Arch, a road bridge across the Clyde River, is on display. The former town of the Glasgow College campus on North Hanover Street represents the Scottish headquarters of the fictional police.

The Murano Street Student Village on Kaitness Street is also participating in the show. Filming for the opening season also took place at Hamilton Park Avenue in Kelvinbridge, Finnston Street in the West End, and Blitzwood Square.
Other Glasgow locations include Lomond House, Glasgow City Chambers, John Street, Clyde Tunnel, and Waterloo Street, among other Glasgow locations, according to reports. The chasing scene was filmed on Napier Drive and Govan Dry Docks in the first season.
The Breyhead Arena, a multi-purpose area in Renfroshire within Glasgow city limits, also serves as a filming location. The rest of Glasgow’s shooting locations include Royal Crescent, Kelvingrove Park, Park Street South, Park Terrace East Lane, and Park Circus.

The coastal area of Hunterston, Irshire, serves as an important location for the first season of the show. Sets were built for the fictional HM naval base Dunloch at the former Hunterston coal terminal on the shores of the Firth of Clyde.
“Vigil.” The sets were designed after the Her Majesty’s Naval Base in Faslen. A peace camp at Faslane Peace Camp near Hunterston was also built in an abandoned mine for the first season of filming. The Cumberland Airport in downtown Cumberland is also on display.
The town of Largs in the Firth of Clyde in northern Irshire, about 30 miles from Glasgow, also serves as a location. The large seafront and Bath Street in the area are also on display. The Isle of Cumbre also serves as a filming location.

The island is a major tourist destination in western Scotland. Many of the countryside scenes from the first season were filmed on the island. The village of Ru on the eastern edge of Gare Loch is also one of the places in Scotland.

“Vigil.” Pinewood Studios, a film and television production center located at Plowwood Road, Slow, in the village of Ivar Health, serves as the filming location for the show outside Scotland. With state-of-the-art facilities and technical support, the studio is one of the best production centers in the UK.
