‘Rebuilding a Dream Christmas’ was filmed entirely in various locations in Missouri, especially in Weston and Kansas City. The film was shot under the production title ‘Christmas Comes Home’, but major photography began in late July 2020 and was completed on August 12, 2020. Missouri is covered with rolling hills and various freshwater rivers and lakes as well as forested areas. It is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
The diverse scenery and beautiful small towns of the region make it ideal for filming a variety of movies and TV shows. St. Louis, Bon Terre, Branson, and Cape Girardo are some of the famous filming locations in Missouri.
The town of Weston in Platt County, Missouri served as one of the main filming locations for ‘Rebuilding a Dream Christmas’. The cast and crew filmed flashbacks and Christmas festivities on Main Street, as well as coffee shop scenes. Weston Coffee Rotary.
The film was shot in the summer of 2020 when temperatures reached 90 degrees, the production team had to work hard using fake snow and flashing lights to create a Christmas setting.
However, they succeeded in doing so and even the local shop owners helped in decorating their stores for shoots.
