News of the shooting outside the mall spread like wildfire. Burns contacted Hannah for assistance with security arrangements. When she left for the mall with Ortiz, Kristen received a warning after her daughter told her about it.

In FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 Episode 9, we met Lacroix and Burns with their families in a mall shootout. Initially, two shooters were considered, there was also a third shooter and they were coming from all sides. LaCroix and Barnes help Hana on the call to keep their family and some people safe at the mall. They lock them up and reunite with Lynnwood Lacroix, a retired police officer, while Burns is helped by Lacroix’s father, Byron, to enter the security room.
Kristin, Ortiz, and Hannah came out of the mall and the doors were filled with bombs. The moment you touch it is a bomb. LaCroix kept a toy camera to keep an eye on families. One of the Lacroix and Linwood shooters was taken out. Hana and Burns find out that someone is confused with the camera system. It means internal work. But the devices of the old system are useful for turning on the cameras.
Hana identified the suspected shooter through CCTV footage. While Kristin was working with the bomb squad, Ortiz took his team to interrogate the suspect. The suspect did not say a single word and ignored his accomplices. Kristin decides to sneak through the roof with a little help from Byron. She guided him to take care of the alarm on the roof door and they succeeded.
Lacroix, Burns, and Lynnwood later rescue Burns’ wife Charlotte, who breaks his water. A surviving shooter is approaching the Lacroix family, but the Lacroix and team completed it in a timely manner. There was another bomb in the grave and Lynnwood decided to sacrifice himself to throw it as far away as possible. Fortunately, he also survived. The episode ends with Burns and Charlotte welcoming a baby boy.
