Station 19 Season 5 Episode 8: Recap
In Station 19 Season 5 Episode 8, it was Christmas and many faces returned to work. This includes Gibson and Vic now having an affair with Ruiz. Especially with Vic who has not yet told Ruiz that he beat Gibson. And, with a new captain, the lady becomes Seattle’s first female Fire Chief.
Jack and Vic answered a Crisis One call from neighbors who reported noise from a neighboring house. They found the woman suffering from anxiety and symptoms of domestic violence. The husband on her side took care of the baby and calmed down. Jack chose to call the police because it was their job but Vic got out of line to rescue the mother and her baby. This led to the husband reacting and shocking his already frightened wife.
The police arrived on time. Still, Jack was angry at Vic for crossing the lines. On top of that, he did it twice to apologize and asked the mother to go with the baby. Then she charged her husband to go and live with her cousin. Crossing the line twice, led Jack to put him on the bench. He believed that Jack was punishing him with a kiss one day. Jack only wanted to keep Crisis One alive, which was the only thing left for Miller.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew was assisting a man who had parked two cars. If they move cars the man will bleed. To save him, PRT was needed and the team had to wait for the approval. Seeing that the man had three children waiting for him he saw Ben pushing PRT without a grant.
The man’s wife, who came to help and sing with her children, made the rescue work painful. The Christmas miracle saved him when the group celebrated the hospital. Vic agreed to kiss Jack and Miller on Ruiz but they were no longer on the same page. Finally, the Archbishop and Carina announced that they were going to have a baby.
