Developed by Warwick Thornton for AMC +, the mystical fantasy drama show “Firebite” twists the vampire hunter trope and offers exciting and early hints. The story follows two native Australian vampire hunters, Tyson and Shanica, who enter each other’s accidents.
Their toughest journey will be the fight against the last vampire colony in the world. Much of the story is set in the town of Spooky Mining in the middle of a hostile South Australian desert and the dusty weather gives the series an ominous northwest tone. However, you may want to locate the locations where the Firebite series is filmed.

Firebite Tv Series Filming Locations
“Firebite” was filmed entirely in Australia, especially in the southern Australian state. Filming for the first season began in August 2021 and was completed by December 1 of the same year.
South Australia
Almost the entire Firebite series was filmed in Adelaide and its environs, the most famous cities of the Coastal Metropolis and the Commonwealth. The crew created a magical atmosphere of performance in a controlled studio environment. He hired the South Australian Film Corporation’s Adelaide studio to shoot most of the interior and exterior scenes.
Located on the outskirts of Glenside in Adelaide, the studio has two full-fledged soundstages and a 100-seat screening theater. The studio is home to world-class productions such as ‘Mortal Kombat’ and ‘The Babaduk’. The crew also traveled outside the city to film scenes in the desert. Additional filming took place in the traditional country of the people of Kourna in the Adelaide Plains, about 60 km north of the city of Adelaide.
Some of the scenes were filmed in Coober Pedy, a sparsely populated area on the Stuart Highway in the South Australian Outback. Situated 846 km (526 miles) north of Adelaide, the city probably stands out as the mining town on display. Incidentally, the township is known as the opal capital of the world because its land is rich in minerals and natural resources, especially opal.
The township has the largest opal mining area in the world and most of the gem-quality opals available in the world come from this small town. The cast and crew also visited the Tallaringa Conservation Park, where they filmed scenes on the traditional countryside of the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunitzatzara people in the western desert. The protected area belongs to the Antakirinja people and is located approximately 90 km west of the town of Kauber Pedi.
