“A California Christmas: City Lights” was filmed entirely in California, especially in Petaluma and San Francisco. Major photography for the movie began in June 2021 and was completed on August 4, 2021.
“A California Christmas: City Lights” was filmed primarily in Petaluma, Sonoma County, California. The Herman Sons Hall, the city’s main venue, serves as one of Petaluma’s venues for the movie. The hall is on Western Avenue.
Keller Street Cowarks, the creative workplace on Keller Street, and Bliss Bridal on Petaluma Boulevard also served as filming locations. The family involved in the movie is owned by Ali Afshar, one of the filmmakers/actors. Spring Hill Cheese Petaluma Creamery is intended for Burnett Vineyards.
Petaluma is a pleasant scenic town with picturesque hills, valleys, and meadows. The city’s major attractions include the Petaluma River and its tributaries. Helen Putnam Regional Park, Tole Lake Regional Park, and Schoenberger Park are some of the city’s mesmerizing natural recreation centers that offer breathtaking views and forms for filming.
As the picture successfully depicts, the area is also gifted with meadows and historic architecture. “13 Reasons Why,” “Basic Instinct,” and “The Man Who Was Not There” are some of the productions featured on the Petaluma.
Urban areas of the movie were shot in San Francisco, one of California’s major cultural and commercial centers. Filming in the city took place primarily at the Fairmont Hotel on Mason Street. The luxury hotel is one of the most famous establishments in the city and offers a mesmerizing view of the city skyline.
The glory and richness of Fairmont are evident in the movie. Many San Francisco landmarks are also in the picture, including the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
