Due to its proximity and expertise to Hollywood and its state-of-the-art production facilities, British Columbia has made its presence felt on the world cinema production map. In addition, the regional government has a huge tax credit system to reduce the burden on producers. The temperate climate and favorable currency exchange rates have also become a major factor in attracting production to the region.
