‘The Unforgivable’ is an emotional drama about a woman trying to reconcile her life after 20 years in prison. Ruth Slater is unable to contain her guilt and is considered a second-class citizen despite her long-lost search for her sister. The dark urban atmosphere, which the movie is largely set on, gives a fitting backdrop to Ruth’s emotional journey, while the rural scenery offers a brief but serene relief. The Unforgivable.

The Unforgivable Movie Filming Locations
‘The Unforgivable’ was filmed in several locations across Canada. The studio was also involved in a good amount of filming and it was reported that Principal Photography opened on February 3, 2020. However, production was halted on 13 March 2020 due to the Kovid-19 pandemic and appears to have resumed on September 2 of that year. . Finally end in mid-October 2020.
Lead actress and co-producer Sandra Bullock explained how surreal it was to the movie with strict safety protocols and that she and co-star Viola Davis never got closer than 15 feet to each other. He edited the scenes so that the characters seemed to stand an inch apart.
British Columbia
Many locations in the bustling city of Vancouver provide the movie with a very urban setting, with much of the story set in Seattle, Washington. The crew spent time filming in the picturesque Queen Elizabeth Park on 4600 Camby Street. The Bloedel Floral Conservatory inside the park is one of the venues used for filming.
Located in the lower mainland at the southern end of the Fraser River, the nearby city of Surrey also hosted the cast and crew. The shooting took place at Surrey City Hall at 13450 104 Ave. Some additional scenes from the Netflix production also appear to have been shot in various parts of the city.
The production team also did a studio shoot for The Unforgivable, mainly at Canadian Motion Picture Park Studios. One of the first Netflix-made films to use this feature, starring Sandra Bullock. The production facility is located at 8085 Glenwood Drive outside Vancouver. Incidentally, Barnaby is known for its exceptional studio facilities, as well as the huge Bridge Studios downtown.
Some scenes also appear to have been filmed in the city of Coquitlam in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. The city center, which was busy during filming in the city, was used as a backdrop. In addition, scenes featuring the Ruth family farmhouse were filmed in and around the picturesque countryside.
