Now when it comes to the production process, you will be thrilled to know that this movie was shot in British Columbia rather than in the story-themed Virginia.
British Columbia
The Christmas-themed movie was shot in various locations in southwestern British Columbia, particularly in Pitt Meadows. Located in the Lower Fraser Valley, the city is famous for its unique crops, mainly cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. The site closes the Fraser River, which supports commercial fisheries and forest products.
The downtown metro in Metro Vancouver is another place that serves as a filming location for Stevenson’s picturesque surroundings in Richmond. Although the movie’s story is set in Virginia, Canada’s spectacular and vast expanse serves as a viable alternative.
On September 23–24, 2019, the streets between Chatham Street and Moncton Avenue, along with First Avenue in Stevenson, were closed for the Christmas filming of A Blue Ridge Mountain.
