Home Economics Season 2 Episode 8: Recap
Home Economics Season 2 Episode 8 follows the regular Hayworth Thanksgiving celebration that turns into a riot. Tom and Sarah went to Connor’s house with their families, where their mother Muriel was visiting. When they do, however, they get annoyed when they see an extravaganza with a Caribbean theme set up by Connor. Tom soon argues that Thanksgiving is not a particular hot holiday.
After a while, Muriel storms in, lamenting her recent failures in her acting career. She is upset that she is no longer needed. So to compensate, Tom, Sarah, and Connor prepared a delicious meal. The mother, however, bursts into tears when she realizes that her children may not need her anymore. Meanwhile, Denise is struggling to come to terms with her sister Jojo, a communications promoter, according to her.
Jojo has been receiving special treatment from his parents, which still bothers Denise. They ended up arguing a lot but eventually talked to each other. JoJo admits that he has been jealous of everything Denise has, including his wife, children, and sleeping quarters. It was then that Denise reluctantly allowed him to crash into his place until Christmas. Eventually, Sarah, Connor, and Tom set the kitchen on fire by mistake, and the accident pleased their mother as she happily cleaned them.
