‘Tick, Tick… Boom! ‘ The music of the film is taken from music-making music, as it tells of the author’s journey through obstacles in his creative process.
While the creative process of the creative artist was soon underway, the movie is also a love letter to the musical theater. In this regard, it is also a beautiful re-enactment of the New York City theater district during the 1990s revolution.
Andrew Garfield introduces a tour-de-force game in the central role like Jonathan, while many amazing stars fill the screen next to Garfield. The story takes place in and around New York City – in a park, on the streets of a washed-out art district, in the hallways of avant-garde theaters that look like pulpits of churches in the eyes of music theater fans – but many may wonder if it was shot in the area.

‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ Was recorded all over the US, especially in New York and surrounding areas. Production began in March 2020, but the cast and crew were already facing their own challenges. The sudden launch of Covid-19 threatened production in April, and they could finally resume filming in October 2020. The recording was completed in November of that year.
The cast included a number of actors who were also artists with a soft Broadway music scene, and we can only imagine how fun the shooting process was after seeing the glory on screen. However, as the band had to adhere to the strict rules of Covid-19, the actors could not sing behind the cameras. Although they had to slow down a bit, the team did their best from the film, and someone had a special place in their hearts.
‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ Could not be recorded anywhere outside of New York City, Larson’s hometown, and the most important inspiration in his career. It’s a big city where Bob Dylan and Woody Allen get their voices heard.
Reasonably enough, the city has a special place in the hearts of the arts, as you do not get to see the inclusion of art by Banksy on an unusual afternoon walk in many parts of the world.
The production team toured the city extensively and filmed scenes around SoHo, Lower Manhattan, and Central Park counties. In an easy-to-follow sequence, Larson wanders around the park on a rainy night and stands next to the piano in an open-air theater.
The series was filmed at Shakespeare Park, an open-air theater in the Central Park region of NYC. Staff also made regular trips to the theater district near 42nd Avenue.
