The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 2: Recap
In The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 2. SCG Microchips Chief Technology Officer Chen Yu-lan and his family were abducted by current Skinner Clayton Beck. Cooper’s team needs more communication if they want to save it. So he goes to the Senator, who is not really happy to help. At that point, Beck forces Chen to work on SCG Microchips.
Red meets with the group and admits that the only reason for her joining is to respect Elizabeth’s wishes. Park finds out that Chen is working for the SCG. A Taiwanese friend, Pai-han, is trying to stop Chen, but with his family pointing a gun, he needs to do what needs to be done.
Park and Aram later tracked down Chen, and let him in. With Chen on their side, the team needed to devise a strategy that would take them to Clayton Beck. In the midst of all this, Red went to meet the former Skinners, informing them of what the current one was and why they needed to stop it.
The team confirms that Chen’s family is ready by phone and is planning a reunion. This time with a tracking device in Chen. But Beck was smart enough not to leave the family yet. He checks the disk and later shoots Chen’s wife in the leg calling for a party.
But before he can move on, Red returns with the former Skinners asking Beck to put the gun down. In an attempt to revolt, Beck is shot dead.
Cooper said the group would be returning to its FBI operations. Before everything is wrapped up, Red also wants to choose the next Skinner and decide if he wants to be one, thus getting a tattoo. The only thing in the middle of all this is that no one else knows this yet.
