‘Total Recall.’ It is a translation of the 1990 film of the same name, which itself is borrowed from a short story by science fiction writer Philip K. Dick. The film’s story is about a noir hero Douglas Quaid. Set in the late 21st century, the film reveals a dystopian vision of a world that was almost completely destroyed by a chemical war.
In this case, Quaid leaves the comfort of his family and subscribes to visual entertainment with the help of the memory company Rekall. A mnemonic holiday is out of control, and on a broader journey, the hero recovers. While playing with themes of vision, memory, reality, and imitation, the movie keeps fans of the genre connected with its post-apocalyptic ambiance. Total Recall.
