‘Day of the Dead’ is a terrifying TV series that follows dozens of strangers as they are forced to gather together to survive the sudden onslaught of immortality. George A. Romero’s 1985 zombie movie with the same name, focuses on the first 24 hours of a zombie attack on a town called Mawinhaken. Produced by Scott Thomas, and Jed Elinoff, ‘Day of the Dead stars Keenan Tracey, Daniel Doheny, Natalie Malaika, and Kristy Dawn Dinsmore, among others.
‘Day of the Dead’ includes the main elements of the classic zombie story – strangers, zombies, sarcastic conversations, weapons, and a lot of blood. Six strangers with very different ideas, united only by their hometown, were forced to hold their minds or lose the same to the uneducated.
With the planning of a small town, the show manages to capture the claustrophobic feeling of being surrounded by Zombies. We’re sure most of you should be wondering where this awesome show is being filmed.

British Columbia:
‘Day of the Dead’ is recorded in the town of Vancouver in British Columbia. A Canadian city known for being one of the most sought-after recordings in the world, Vancouver serves as the epicenter of the zombie apocalypse in the horror series. With its pristine landscape and expanding green spaces, Vancouver is able to mimic a small town that is forced to see the undead run amok.
In fact, Daniel Doheny as Luke Bowman, Keenan Tracey as Cam McDermott, Stefanie von Pfetten as Cindy, and Morgan Holmstrom as Sarah Blackwood, among other actors, are natives of Vancouver. Famous for Hollywood North, the city is known for its helpful government credits, unpredictable and pleasant weather, a variety of places, beautiful scenery, easy travel, and experienced recording staff.
Day of the Dead ’sees zombies emerge from their graves and attack people throughout the city, with numerous scenes involving bizarre driving, panic racing, and retaliatory chases. The familiarity of the areas that serve as the backgrounds of such scenes makes the horror of watching Zombies very effective. From the funeral home to the dirt road, the supermarket to the wedding, immortal appearances are everywhere.
The Vancouver area is completely surpassed by any typical American city – an important setting to show that surviving urban people have no choice but to join forces to deal with the dead. Thus, it is understandable why ‘Day of the Dead,’ like hundreds of other shows and films, favors Vancouver as its recording base.
