‘Ghost’ is a 1990 fairy tale movie that claims to reverse the genre of romance and fantasy as it unleashes the fascinating story of a beloved ghost. After the assassination, Sam Wheat takes the help of an eccentric psychic to save his living girlfriend, Molly, from imminent death. Ghost Movie Filming Locations
‘Ghost’ was completely recorded in the US, especially in New York and California. According to reports, the main picture started on July 24, 1989, and was wrapped up on December 5, 1989.
California: Los Angeles, Location
“Ghost.” Many scenes were also filmed in the city and in Los Angeles, California. The place where Oda Mae went to the First Bank to verify her signing was recorded at the former Bank of America in Downtown Los Angeles. Located at 650 South Street, it now stands at an apartment called SB Spring.
The crew also fired a few shots elsewhere. Ebell of Los Angeles, a women’s club located at 743 South Lucerne Boulevard, borrowed its recording studio.
Studio work is mainly done at Paramount Studios, a state-of-the-art art studio located at 5555 Melrose Avenue in the Hollywood district of La. Workers record scenes on the 19th stage of the production center.
New York Location
The Ghost movie was shot mostly in New York City, Manhattan and Brooklyn were the most popular. Scenes of Molly and Sam’s stay were recorded at 104 Prince Street, in the Soho area of Manhattan. At the same time, the death of Sam Wheat died on Crosby Street.
Molly Jensen meets Oda Mae Brown at an Italian restaurant. The series was shot at Mezzogiorno Restaurant, located at 195 Spring Street in Soho. This place is now permanently closed.
The recording site used as Willie Lopez’s apartment is actually located at 592 Prospect Place, Brooklyn. The final sequence was recorded at George Washington Statue, in front of the historic Federal Hall on 28 Wall Street in central Manhattan. This particular structure is known as the U. S. Custom House.
Elsewhere, Sam Wheat chases his killer off the street. The scene used in this movie is Franklin Street in the Tribeca area of NYC. The chase ends at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue & Broadway, in the Bushwick area at the hip, and continues on.
This is five kilometers from where it allegedly started. In addition, scenes at the Oda Mae Brown Spiritual Advisor Parlor were filmed at 720 Franklin Avenue in the Brooklyn region.
