Scenes From a Marriage Season 1 Episode 4’ opens with another scene tearing down the fourth wall with Jessica Chastain preparing for her role as Mira. We are quick to come to terms with Jonathan and Mira’s situation after their attempts to renew their marriage in the previous episode.
Their house is full, and they are preparing to move. However, they are not traveling to London as the last episode pointed out. Instead, the husband and wife come together to complete their divorce and sell their house.
Sexual relations between them have been building for some time, and they end up having sex on the couch in their old home. However, after this period of the clinic, things get worse. Mira opposes a clause in the agreement that requires her to pay for expensive dance classes in Ava.
Just like that, secrets are revealed, and it is clear that Jonathan is not interested in reconciliation and Mira is reluctant to sign papers.
Mira tells Jonathan that she has lost a high-paying job and confirms that Poli is finally out of her life for good. Jonathan reveals that he is entering into a parental agreement in partnership with the mother of the new child contract. However, things are complicated by her marital status.
These revelations fall in quick succession and rejuvenate the wounds in their destructive marriage.
Mira is distraught, unlike Jonathan when she heard about Mira’s infidelity. In a fit of rage, he hits Jonathan. Mira finally accepted the situation and the signs on the paper. She and Jonathan are no longer married. The episode ends with Jonathan’s drive home, which shows his wedding cage with Mira.
