Tracee Ellis Ross was born on October 29, 1972, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Motown singer and actress Diana Ross and music business manager Robert Ellis Silberstein, and she is the Jewish ancestor on her father’s side.

Ross has two sisters, Rhonda and Chudney, and two brothers, Evan and Ross. In addition, she has three siblings adopted from his mother’s remarriage in Arne Næss Jr.: Christoffer, Katinka, and Leona. As a teenager, Ross attended Dalton School in Manhattan and Riverdale Country School in the Bronx.

Tracee Ellis Ross also attended the boarding school at Institut Le Rosey in Rolle, Switzerland. With his higher education, Ross went to Brown University and graduated with a degree in theater in 1994. She went on to work in the fashion industry as a model and contributed as a fashion editor to New York and Mirabella magazines.

Tracee Ellis Ross: How to Earned Money? 

Ross made his television debut in 1998, starring in the NBC television film “Race Against Fear: A Moment of Truth.” In the film, she plays a former high school star who is afraid to talk about the trauma she received from her coach. Ross follows suit in 2000 by playing a comedy series on MTV’s “The Lyricist Lounge Show,” a hip-hop variety show featuring different music and skirts and sketches.

That same year, Ross starred in the UPN / CW sitcom “Maidens,” starring lead actress Joan Carol Clayton, Esq., A talented and neurotic lawyer. Focusing on the lives of the African-American women’s team, the show ran eight seasons and 172 episodes in 2008, earning Ross two NAACP Image Awards for her performance. During this time, the actress also appeared in the sitcom episode “Second Time Around,” and starred in her brother Evan and Queen Latifah in the HBO television film “Life Support.”

In 2011, following the appearance of guests in “Private Practice” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” Ross put his main role in the BET family game “Reed Between Lines.” She starred in the first season of the show as Dr. Carla Reed, a successful psychologist who balances her work with family health. For his work, Ross received his third NAACP Image Award.

The most notable part came in 2014 when the actor played the role of Drs. Rainbow Johnson on the ABC sitcom “Black-ish,” starring Anthony Anderson. Ross has won numerous accolades for his work, including numerous NAACP Image Awards and Emmy nominations, and Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2019, Tracee Ellis Ross re-launched the “Black-ish” spinoff “Mixed-ish” with Kenya Barris. Ross also works as a narrator at the show.

On the big screen, Ross first appeared in the 1996 independent film “Far Harbor.” The following year, she was in another independent film called “Sue Lost in Manhattan.” Ross starred in his first major film studio in 2000, appearing in Diane Keaton’s play “Hanging Up.” The film also stars Keaton, along with Meg Ryan, Lisa Kudrow, and Walter Matthau in his final role in the movie.

Following this, Ross has been featured in “See-You.Com,” “In the Weeds,” and Tyler Perry’s “Daddy’s Little Girls,” starring Gabrielle Union and Idris Elba. After that, she appeared in “Work In Pain,” playing the role of Lindsay Lohan and Luke Kirby. Ross had his biggest role in the film yet in 2020, playing the lead role of superstar artist Grace Davis in “The High Note.”

The film also features Kelvin Harrison Jr., Dakota Johnson, Ice Cube, Bill Pullman, and Eddie Izzard. In addition to his acting, Ross made him sing for the first time in a film song. The tracks include the lead song “Stop for a Minute,” “Bad Girl,” “New to Me,” “Like I Do,” and “I Love You.”

Ross appeared in a few music videos during his career. In 2004, she was in Kanye West’s video for “The New Workout Plan.” The following year, he was in another Kanye West video, “Touch the Sky.” After a long break, Ross returned to the 2018 music video featuring Drake’s song “Nice for What.” Tracee Ellis Ross then appeared in Tyler’s video, “Earthquake” of the Creator in 2019.
