Annabella Sciorra was born March 29, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York to Italian parents. His father was a veterinarian from Abruzzo, and his mother was a tailor from Lazio. As a child, Sciorra did dance; Later, Annabella Sciorra took drama courses at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Herbert Berghof Studio in Greenwich Village.

In 1988, Annabella Sciorra made his first television appearance in the miniseries “The Fortunate Pilgrim,” based on Mario Puzo’s novel. The following year, she made his debut film starring comedy “True Love.” Beating the audience and critics, she won the Grand Jury award at the Sundance Film Festival, and also won the Sciarra nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead.

In the early 2000s, Sciorra was featured in  “Sunday,” “King of the Jungle,” and “Sam the Man.” she was then involved in a romantic comedy “Chasing Liberty,” an adult drama “12 and Holding,” a Sidney Lumet court drama “wonderful” drama, and “I Found Guilt.” After a six-year hiatus from the film, Sciorra is back on the big screen with 2012’s “A Green Story”.

she followed this up with roles in the mind-boggling “Girl’s Room” and comedy “Don Peyote” and “Friends and Romans.” Recent credits include “Alto,” “Back in the Day,” and “The Kitchen,” starring Melissa McCarthy, Elisabeth Moss, and Tiffany Haddish.

In the 90s, Sciorra was featured in the television films “Prison News: Women Inside,” “Favorite Serious Sins,” and “Asteroid.” Later, in 2001, she played his most popular role in television currently in the HBO crime drama “Sopranos.”

For her role as Gloria Trillo, Sciorra received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in the Drama Series. she also played a key role in the 2003 CBS court series “Queens Supreme,” starring newly appointed judge Kim Vicidomini; however, due to poor ratings, the game was canceled after three episodes.

Sciorra went on to star in the television film “Identity Theft: The Story of Michelle Brown,” and to play a major role in the fifth season of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” The guest appearance was followed by “The L Word” and “ER.” In 2009, Sciorra played a major role in the short-lived Fox “Mental series.”

Sciorra appeared in a variety of exhibitions throughout 2010, including “The Whole Truth,” “The Good Wife,” “Blue Bloods,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “Bull.” In 2018, she had a repeat role in the second season of the Netflix series “KHANYA,” starring Rosalie Biagi.

That same year, Sciorra starred Rosalie Carbone in episodes of the Netflix Marvel series “Luke Cage” and “Daredevil.” Other credits include the Apple TV + series “The Truth Told,” the crime drama Epix “Godfather of Harlem,” and NBC’s medical drama “New Amsterdam.”

In addition to film and television, Sciorra has acted in numerous stage plays. In 1994, she was in the Off-Broadway production of “Those the River Keeps,” and in 1999, she appeared in the Off-Broadway production of “The Vagina Monologues.”

she followed this up with several Off-Broadway shows in the 2000s, including “Roar” and “Spain.” In 2011, Sciorra made him the first Broadway star to play Stephen Adly Guirgis’s “The Motherfucker with the Hat.” Four years later, she returned to the Off-Broadway Games starring “Moon in the World.”
