American Rust Episode 3 Overview
When Del appears, she learns that Novick died of severe head trauma. No doubt you fell and it will appear as if you have been hit in the head. Novick was first punched and the rust particles on his scalp could well reveal something rusty. His toxicity report is problematic as well, confirming that he was a long-time drug user.
With Novick fired from his job six months before the attack, fingers point at Del Harris for keeping Novick on his team. She is not happy about Herlitz, she finally goes into her head to bring Novick’s belongings to her family.
The drugs have clearly damaged their family and when Del shows up giving Pam her stuff, she teases her by keeping her ring. The trip also had the wrong motive for Cor Del, with the intention of finding out who the bearded man who was associated with Novick was. To do that, you need to check Pete’s phone. Pam doesn’t quite agree with that and speaks bitterly about how Pete lost control after being fired.
Del finally asks Carl, hearing that the man with Pete is called Bobby and is actually a salesman. He also visits a club in town as well. When Del appears, it’s a chase as Bobby jumps out of the backroom and chases down the tunnel. Unfortunately, the two officers lost him. This one-act is enough for our bearded merchant to shave completely and try to hide his appearance.
Meanwhile, Isaac crossed the city and boarded a moving train to unknown areas. While doing so, Lee opens the envelope he leaves behind, paying Henry with the money he took. Upstairs, Lee calls Ale. As Isaac runs away from Henry harshly, Ale understands him and encourages him to stay for a while and use his credit card when he needs it.
Lee finally yelled at Billy, telling him that kissing was a mistake, and avoided him. After hanging up, Henry falls into the bathroom. While Lee is busy, Billy is preoccupied with the routine of daily life, working and making a living. That is not easy to do when he is reminded of his promising career in football. Eventually, he makes a big decision and decides to apply for a coaching role.
That night, under the flames of a campfire, Del and Grace talked about the former choice to come to Buell. The big case Del was preparing was actually the result of his decision to escape to build in this small town.
Del had a serious case involving an 8-year-old boy with hickeys on his upper and lower body – a total of 14. The DA accused her English teacher of assault but when the boy appeared in court to testify, he became furious. It turns out that the boy brought his wife to open the waterworks. Her tears were enough for her to freeze. And seeing a teacher touch his wife made him urinate in fear.
Without an oral statement, the case was closed and justice was not served. An English teacher ran away unscathed and was able to continue bullying. Police along with Del seized the property and eventually killed him. “The evil fleeing”. Del could have refused to join but refused, and this created the root of the case that had landed him.
This also explains why Del is heavily invested in this case as well, as it involves several boys who can’t help themselves. Obviously, he does not excuse himself by hiding evidence, but he seems to be trying to rectify the past.
At the police station, Bobby cries and tells the police he has information about Pete Novick. He saw a 21-year-old boy get into a heated argument and there was a clear scream again. Whoever the baby was, he punched Pete in the face but he also pulled Bobby out, knocking him to the ground. And that kid? Billy Poe. According to Bobby, it wasn’t Isaac at all.
While Bobby hung up the phone, dialed the line, and tossed his SIM, we interrupted Billy who turned the door on, Lee. The couple succumbs to their desires and eventually falls in love. American Rust Episode 3.
