With Season 9 starting this fall, it is easy for viewers now to wonder about the upcoming Season 10. What will the show look like after another season of unexpected betrayal and twisting of a new building? Now, know about The Blacklist Season 10.
The Blacklist Season 10: Release Date
With The Blacklist Season 9 not shown for the first time on NBC Network until October, the network has not yet officially launched “The Blacklist Season 10 of television yet.
There are a few possible factors as to why NBC did not order another season. For one thing, it is a drama of almost a decade, and while stable and modest estimates for years, the company can wait to see what estimates of season 9 unused episodes first before deciding to do another season. NBC also aired Season 9 on Thursday night after the release of “Law & Order: For the Defense”, so they may want to make sure the show stays strong for some time.
“The Blacklist” remains a favorite on Netflix, adding another reason why NBC may choose to renew it for its The Blacklist Season 10. Assuming that Season 9 continues the lineup of the best viewing show, expect another hot season on the way – The Blacklist Season 10 will be aired in 2022.
The Blacklist Season 10 Cast & Characters
The characters of “The Blacklist Season 10” will probably look very different compared to previous seasons after the shocking end of Season 8. For another, Megan Boone, former FBI Handler Elizabeth Keen, has announced that she is leaving the game after the most recent game of the season. Likewise, Elizabeth Keen looks set to die at the end of season 8 “Konets” at the hands of Townsend and her teammates.
However, many other commoners may return. Leading actor James Spader will probably be back for another season, in part because the game will be hard to tell its stories without his character, Raymond “Red” Reddington. Diego Klattenhoff is also likely to return as Agent Donald Ressler, as well as Harry Lennix as Director of FBI Counterterrorismism Director Harold Cooper.
That being said, it’s still hard to say what full-time characters will look like in The Blacklist Season 10 without knowing what the Season 9 building looks like, but we do know that Boone won’t be back – meaning the “Black List” will have to make future seasons without the presence of Elizabeth Keen.
The Blacklist Season 10: Plot
“Blacklist” focuses on Raymond “Red” Reddington, a notorious criminal and fugitive, dedicated to the FBI, and the “blacklist” of the title: a long list of dangerous criminals and terrorists they know and are associated with. As the show progressed, Red assisted the FBI in apprehending these people, even though he used his unusual methods, while the mystery of his interest in FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen was gradually revealed.
Obviously, next season will determine the content of most stories in The Blacklist Season 10, but it seems likely that the show will continue to focus on Red and the FBI team he assisted while building the major revelations made by Red at the end of season 8. One question remains, after all: If the real Red dies long ago, so who exactly is this person taking your identity?
