Bjorn ironside fans of history’s Vikings know Alexander Ludwig as the face of Bjorn ironside but they might be surprised to learn how he scored the role when he took part in an interview with the media for the third season of Vikings Ludwig was asked how he came to be a part of the series and the answer is rather surprising it turns out an executive producer for the series saw his previous work and noticed a resemblance he had to both Travis Fimmel and young Bjorn Ludwig said
“It’s funny how this actually came about.”
“One of the executive producers on the show had seen me in the hunger games and had seen that I had a strong resemblance to Nathan, who played the original Bjorn, and that I resembled Travis as well.”

In November 2020, Alexander Ludwig announced his engagement to Lauren dear via Instagram then on January 3rd, 2021 the couple announced that they had eloped at the lodge at the blue sky in park city Utah their dog yam acted as their witness Alexander Ludwig wrote on Instagram

Alexander Ludwig first became wrapped up in addiction at the age of 14. Alexander Ludwig has revealed, he was an instant addict and struggled with a life of constant drinking until he sought sobriety in rehab he spoke about his substance abuse when taking part in the bike the bullet campaign
“It started going out with everybody and in the end, it was just me alone, by myself, in some room, not knowing where I am, waking up in a ditch, getting into fights, being arrested.”
“Something very different happens with me when I touch that stuff, to the point where I just can’t stop.”
Alexander Ludwig said he checked into rehab at great expense using most of his savings to get himself sober a decision he says has changed his life
“I’m proud of it, I love being that guy now that people can rely on.”
“There are times where I thought there wasn’t a way out. And I put the people that I loved, closest to me, through so much, it’s a lot brighter on the other side.”
