Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol ’is a series of mysteries that unfolds based on Dan Brown’s famous book of words, which is the third entry in the series by author Robert Langdon. The show is made as a prequel for Tom Hanks and Ron Howard in a series of films and revolves around Langdon who is much younger than his book and film partners. In ‘The Lost Symbol,’ after the disappearance of his adviser, Peter Solomon (Eddie Izzard), Langdon must join the CIA to solve a mysterious mystery and rescue Solomon. The series is based mainly in Washington, D.C., the capital of the USA.

‘The Lost Symbol’ is shot heavily in various parts of the Canadian province of Ontario, including Toronto, Hamilton, and Oshawa. Brown’s book was originally intended to serve as a third entry in the film series but the producers decided to convert ‘Inferno,’ the fourth book, instead. In June 2019, news broke that a TV program from the book was being developed.
Initially, the show’s driver episode was made for NBC under the title ‘Langdon,’ a recording that took place in late 2020. According to an official announcement in March 2021, the exhibition was moved to Peacock. It was later reported that the recording of the first season all started in mid-2021 and will be completed on October 7, 2021.
Toronto, Ontario Location
A large part of ‘The Lost Symbol’ is shot in Toronto and suburbs, one of Canada’s most respected cities, economically and politically. Over the years, Canada has become a preferred recording studio for American filmmakers, not just because it saves more recordings in Canada than in the US. Canadian cities such as Toronto and Montreal can easily pass as many American cities due to improved infrastructure and diversity. In addition, Toronto has an entertainment-based staff that can give its Los Angeles and New York counterparts a great deal of competition.
Oshawa, Ontario Location
In June 2021, a production team was spotted in Oshawa, a town on the shores of Lake Ontario, recording some scenes from Season 1 Parkwood Estate, a museum located at 270 Simcoe Street N.
Hamilton, Ontario Location
Several episodes of the season ‘The Lost Symbol’ 1 of the series were filmed in Hamilton, a port city in the western part of Lake Ontario. Residents and shops reported seeing workers making the product in the city and suburbs. The filming of the movie reportedly took place at the Royal Botanical Gardens, The Arboretum, located at 16 Old Guelph Road, and Cootes Paradise in Dundas.
