“Courtney Harwood.” Since the early 2010s, LuLaRoe, a clothing brand, has seen an increase in its popularity due to its shiny, patterned legs. But the popularity was also examined in relation to the company’s business practices. Amazon’s ‘LuLaRich’ brings to viewers the fascinating story of a company born of humble beginnings. But LuLaRoe has also become a major issue in the last few years. Courtney Harwood, a former LuLaRoe retailer, gives insight into the company’s internal circles.
About The Courtney Harwood
Courtney Harwood joined LuLaRoe in March 2015. At the time, she had three children including twins. She learned about LuLaRoe from the Facebook group and bought a few outfits from one of the company’s retailers. When the people in his circle liked him, he looked for a way to become a salesman. Courtney was working in the marketing department at the time, and as her job took many hours, she missed spending time with her family. As was the case with many others who became LuLaRoe traders, the lure of staying home with family while making money was far better.
A few months after she started with LuLaRoe, Courtney quit her full-time job. He said, “It was the scariest thing I have ever done, but I was making so much money. DeAnne (founder) fell in love with me. I felt like I had found my nation. “Courtney also pointed out in the program that before LuLaRoe, her family was in debt. When he heard that he had to pay $ 5000 to join, he had to take out a loan to make that money.
Still, Courtney was excited about this novel opportunity. He also saw that there was an ongoing incentive to seek more people because it was the way merchants made their bonus money. Soon, like retailer Ashleigh Lautaha, he reached the top of the company (consultant), which meant a big bonus check. Courtney commented on the show that most of what she did by checking out the monthly bonus was over $ 50,000. But while recruitment is in full swing, new members are having a hard time making a profit.
After becoming a counselor, Courtney Harwood was invited to California to meet DeAnne and Mark Stidham. She said, “They asked me to bring my husband. We were basically separated, sleeping in separate beds. But he came. They said that if he quit his job and helped me sell LuLaRoe, that would unite us. That I should focus on submitting to my husband. ”In November 2016, DeAnne again appealed to Courtney to obtain a surgical gut in Tijuana, Mexico. It was the experience of another former salesman, who DeAnne told him “would like his leaders to be of small or medium size.”
Courtney Harwood finally left LuLaRoe in January 2018. She said in a statement that at one point, she was living as a paid person and later had to sell her home and put it in a dump. Changes to the refund policy have affected him, saying he still has close to $ 40,000 worth of LuLaRoe assets. In the case, Courtney said LuLaRoe owed about $ 100,000 in total. He seems to be doing much better now and lives with his family in Greenville, North Carolina. Courtney recently started working for a health company.
