The deadline reported that the competition, called Vacation Friends, will feature the co-author and co-director of Vacation Friends and the film’s first actors (Cena, Lil Rey Howery, Yvonne Orji, and Meredith Hagner) and director Todd Garner. The decision to lighten up the project comes after Vacation Friends launched a new Hulu special weekend broadcasting record, completing previous titles such as the 2020 Run.

Vacation Friends is a real comedy based on Marcus as Howery and Emily as Orji, a gentle and friendly couple with another couple, Ron as Cena and Kyla as Hagner who is having fun at a party, while on vacation in Mexico and continuing to participate in all sorts of deceptions caused by drugs. However, as Marcus and Emily believe they have returned to their quiet, intimate lives, Ron and Kyla suddenly appeared uninvited to their wedding, ready and determined to create an unplanned mess in their upcoming wedding.
” They also commended Cena for his work as Ron, noting that he “presented an exciting and direct loyalty to the second act of Vacation Friends when it was revealed why he was so attached to Marcus.” At the same time, they considered the comedy to be “surrounded by questionable choices” which made parts of the movie difficult in the stomach. “If it had been rewritten to make it less clear from a moral point of view or completely dismissed, the film would have been more successful.”
The success of Vacation Friends comes as the best news for its busy leading leader. 2021 had already seen the Cena star on F9: Fast Saga, which is currently the highest-grossing movie in the U.S. Cena has also played the Peace character in The Suicide Squad and will once again play the role of a spinoff series of the same name on HBO Max next year.
Viking Friends is not the only film of 20th Century Studios turning into a franchise, either. The studio is also promoting the Free Guy series, an act/comedy led by Ryan Reynolds that has grossed $ 180.3 million worldwide since its release in August.
