‘Cold Mountain’ is the epicenter of the 2003 epic drama. The story follows that the carpenter turned soldier W. P. Inman on his journey to greater health. Charleston, South Carolina Location
Since the movie was set in the US, staff had to record a certain sequence at home. Although they have done well with the abundance of natural splendor in Romania, regional construction could not be transferred as a backdrop to the US. Some scenes were filmed in Charleston, a port city in South Carolina.
In the sequence of the first episode of the film, Inman (Jude Law) talks to a blind man in the middle of a crowded city square. The series was filmed on the premises of the College of Charleston, a free art college located at 66 George Street in Charleston.
Other Places in the US
Cold Mountain Movie, Outside of South Carolina, staff also filmed scenes in the states of Virginia and North Carolina. The titular mountain of the movie is a real place found in the Pisgah National Forest of North Carolina, and the band recorded a sequence of similar scenes.
